As mom instructed, I rounded up the Bully Resort. Altough I'm closer to Dylan and Dustin, she said I should invite all of the members. I decided to make a group message.
Group Mesage: Cassie(C), Dylan(DT), Dustin(D), Riley(R), Tori(T), Greg(G)
C: Umm..sorry to disturb you guys but my mom wants to talk with you guys.
DT: WHY? ARE YOU OK?
C: Yes I'm fine, well sort of but my mom really wants to talk to you guys.
D: I'm in. But are you okay?
R: What's the matter Cassie?
T: How does your mom know about us?
G: Yea seriously....
C:I'll answer all of your questions, just meet me at my house at 1:00 okay?
All: Yes
The door bell rang and this time, I was scared for a different reason. Like the rest of the Bully Resort, I had no idea of what was going on. "Hello Mrs. Troy." My mother greeted a woman at the door. I heard Mrs. Troy and knew that it was Dylan's mother. I hesistantly walked to the entrance of my house. "Hello Dylan." I shyly greeted him. He waved in response, obviously nervous in front of the adults.
The rest of the Bully Resort members arrived and my mother had us all sit in the kitchen gathered around the table. "These are good cookies, Cassie." Dylan tried to break the ice. "Shush." I said trying to aviod more akwardness. "Okay!" My mother finally sent the last parent home and rubbed her hands together as she was ready to start whatever she was planning. "Once again, thank you all for coming. It's very nice to meet all of you." My mother tried to make it less akward, but failed badly. "As you know, Cassie was being bullied at school." My mother started. The kids looked around awkardly and I slumped down in my chair. "Well I know you all were bullied at one point and I feel really bad about that, but Cassie is really hurting and I want to make this stop." She finished in a worried tone. I faced palmed. "Mom," I started to cover my hurt that I really had. "No Cassie, we know it's true and it does need to stop." Dylan intervined. I didn't respond because I knew he was right and so was my mom. There was no point in fighting whatever they were going to do, so I decided to let it all happen.
"Do you all know the girls who are bullying Cassie?" My mother asked. Everybody in the room nodded in agreement. "Okay, so what is everything they have done to Cassie?" Dylan raised his hand. "Yes, Dylan?" My mother asked. "Well, they put dog treats in her locker. That's kind of the reason I found her. It caused her to-" "Dylan!" I whisper hushed, causing him to stop in the middle of his sentence. Each person took a turn explaining how mean 'the girls" had been to me. "They poured dog treats on her lunch tray." " They tripped her at lunch." "They called her Lassie." "They convinced the whole school she dated a boy named Josh and that he dumped her." "They lied about her to the teachers."
That was pretty much it. My mom even started to tear up as the kids were explaining it. Good news is, we came up with a great plan! At school on Monday we are all going to bring dog treats to school. We are going to get the attention of the whole eighth grade. Once they see us, all of the members of the Bully Resort are going to stand up on the table and pull a dog treat out of their pockets. We are all going to yell something out, which is our little secret that you'll find out later, and show those girls that they can't bring us down! We are united! The Bully Resort revolts!
