Now with their plan in action, the cousins along with their spirit animals traveled through the forest and did their best to avoid anyone that could possibly be linked to Shauna. They both had their demon blades with them so therefore they had some sort of battle strategy. The main part of the plan was to break Darren out. Hopefully, he knew the antidote, they reached the edge of the forest as they noticed the entrance to the caves was this time guarded by two demons.

"Mary," Ezra said, pointing at the demons. "We have company,"

"I see," Mary said and gasped at how ghastly their faces looked. "They're so ugly,"

"Ready?" Ezra said to his cousin and the spirit animals, everyone nodded their head as the birds stayed in the branches. "Commence phase one," the birds flew toward the guards catching their attention. They attacked the guards causing the guards to become briefly disoriented. After that, they flew off toward the forest where Ezra and Mary were going to do the next step. "Phase two," Ezra mouthed and held up two fingers. Mary nodded as she jumped in front of the guards.

"Can you help me?" Mary said, acting like she had been a lost girl. "I can't find my parents,"

"Not now kid," the first demon said as they stopped in front of Mary. "Besides, aren't you old enough to find them yourself?" Immediately, Ezra snuck up behind the demons and stabbed the demon's friend in the back. Orange light appeared as the demon collapsed on the ground with the host being dead. Realization had hit the other demon as Ezra tried to attack him but all the demon did was toss Ezra to the side. "You aren't just any kids! You're the Winchester cousins!"

"Yes, and you and your master have made us mad!" Mary exclaimed as she quickly stabbed the demon through the chest with her demon blade. "No one tries to separate our family!" She pulled the demon blade out of his chest pushing the demon over.

"Great, well let's get going!" Ti exclaimed.

"We have to find the guard that has the keys to the chains in the caves," Goldie responded. Ezra and Mary nodded as they raced into the caves making sure to light a torch on the way in. This time they had to find the main warden if caves and prisoners had one. They ran through the caves until they found the main one.

"Mary, you go find Darren, I'll try to find the key," Ezra said. Mary nodded and raced into the main cave to search for him. It didn't take her long but she saw him using the pickaxe on a rock. Ezra raced through until he saw the warden watching over the occupants in the cave. Even his demon face was quite distorted. He didn't know how he was able to see the demon's actual face since that hadn't been the case before, but he wasn't complaining. Ezra also saw that the warden had the key around his neck, so all he had to do was snatch it and kill the demon. "Wow you are one ugly piece of work," he commented, getting the warden's attention. He turned around and was ready to fight Ezra but he wasn't quick enough as Ezra threw the demon blade and it landed into the demon's chest. "I really hate demons," Ezra commented as he took the key off the corpse. Unfortunately, his successful kill had drawn a ton of unwanted attention for a ton of other demons inside the cave. "Son of a bitch," Meanwhile Mary had managed to pull Darren to the side as he was working. He screamed thinking she was there to kill him but she shushed him so no one would hear him.

"Please don't scream I'm not here to hurt you, my name is Mary Winchester and I need your help," she told him. He muffled a reply since his mouth was covered by Mary's hand. "Okay I'm going to move my hand away but you can't scream, my cousin and I are here to rescue you," she continued. He nodded and remained silent as she moved her hand from his mouth. "You probably don't recognize me but you are the only one who can help us,"

"What are you talking about?" Darren asked. Mary told him it was a long story and would explain everything once they escaped. "You're an empath," he realized.

"Yes I am, but shh," she responded as she helped him stand up. Before she could say more a bunch of screams were heard, Mary rolled her eyes as she realized that Ezra must have been spotted. Her thoughts were proven when her cousin came running carrying the key along with a bunch of demons on his tail. "What happened to being sneaky?" She asked taking out her demon blade.

"No time for that I got the key, now do your thing M," Ezra responded. He went over to Darren and used the key to take the chains off his hands. While Mary closed her eyes in concentration causing large rocks to fall in front of the demons preventing them from following.

"That won't hold them for long, we need to get out of here and find Cass!" Mary screamed.

"Mary, we don't have time, we have to go now," Ezra said, pulling on his cousin.

"I can't leave him here, I'm not going without him," Mary responded stubbornly. "Get him out of here," While Ezra didn't like that idea especially since he had been more worried about his cousin than anything else, he reluctantly agreed.

"Mary, Please be careful," Ezra said as he took Darren out. Ti followed him after leaving Mary alone in the caves below, once her cousin was out of sight she proceeded to find her way into the castle hoping that Castiel was alright. She hid behind boulders so that the demons wouldn't find her especially since they were looking for Ezra. They only knew that her cousin was there. She and Goldie went through the different halls until they stumbled across the entrance to the castle.

"Mary this isn't a wise decision you could get hurt," Goldie cautioned. Mary understood that he was trying to protect her, but she couldn't bring herself to leave anyone else behind.

"I know you're trying to protect me but Castiel is family, he's been there my whole life and I can't leave him behind knowing that I can save him," Mary responded. Using her psychic powers she caused a distraction for the demons guarding the entrance and went inside. The castle was large and built with quartz walls making it appear pure white just like the clothes Lucifer always wore. Something was wrong though the castle was empty as Mary expected the place to be crawling with demons. Her thoughts were interrupted when she saw the throne room where Castiel was tied up.

"Mary, wait that's..." Goldie warned but she ran away before she could hear the rest of his sentence.

"Cass, hang on, I'm going to get you out of here," Mary said as she took out her dagger to cut the rope. Her empathic abilities picked up a dark presence but she chalked it up to it just because Lucifer was living here.

"Thank you," Castiel answered once he was free. However, their reunion was short-lived when he grabbed her throat and changed into Shauna. "Just like your mother, your compassion is your downfall,"

"I should have guessed you were hiding.." Mary choked out. "I know what you've done and I won't let you proceed," her eyes glowed amber and she forced Shauna to release her. Shauna was forced back by a surge of power and she heard Lucifer scream that Mary was stronger than she thought.

"Oww you could have ruined my beautiful face," Shauna spat as she recovered.

"Looks like someone else beat me to," Mary responded. "Now enough games, where is Castiel?" She asked.

"You want him?" Shauna asked, her eyes glowing red. Mary flinched at the sight realizing that Lucifer was going to speak to her.

"Hey sweetheart, miss me?" He asked. Mary remained silent and didn't move, she didn't want to show fear on her face. She had beaten Lucifer before and she could do it again but this time he wasn't her father, he was a conduit and an evil empath. "Still afraid of me?" Lucifer asked. Yet still, Mary said nothing, not wanting to let her get to him. "You should be," he declared, sending her into the wall and knocking her out.

"One down and one to go," Shauna said, taking back control. Enraged Goldie tried to attack Shauna with his claws but she shoved the large eagle away. "Catch that bird and kill him!" She demanded as tons of demons showed up at her command. Goldie took off knowing that he had to get to Ezra and let him know what happened. Using his speed and wit he avoided the demons following him and managed to kill a few by tearing at their hosts with his beak and claws until there was nothing left for the demon to possess. Goldie finally made it to Ezra's house where Darren was explaining the antidote to Ezra, completely frantic about the situation he burst into the room and started squawking loudly.

"What the hell who let a wild animal in here!?" Darren exclaimed. He jumped and tried to swat the eagle away but Ezra stopped him.

"No wait, it's okay," Ezra said. "Goldie what's wrong, where's Mary?" He asked.
