Sacrifice

Your body limp, you blearily watched the ground pass by as Ji-woon carried you out of the temple. A dull pain throbbed in your throat and you couldn't help but anticipate what came next. You'd seen it happen once before to Jake. That cocky asshole had been flickering a flashlight in Leatherface's eyes over and over - but then he made one wrong move and you and Nea had to watch while your friend was thrown onto a rusted meat hook. The cannibalistic killer wouldn't let any of you close enough to pull him off. The sight still horrified you as inky black tentacles shrouded in shadow pierced Jake from every side. The intestines, the shoulders, the back, viscera and blood poured from his body as he screamed over and over. The torture had gone on for so long before what you assumed to be the Entity scooped his battered body into the sky.

After the trial, you had attempted to comfort Jake but he refused to speak the whole night. He was utterly shaken and you could tell this was something that would stick in his mind for awhile.

I guess that's the incentive to escape, you thought wearily as your arms swung towards the ground. If you don't then you will suffer.

And you knew this is exactly what Ji-woon wanted to make you experience. You hadn't been sacrificed yet but Trapper had gotten his revenge not long ago, killing you by his own sick and twisted hand. That was something that had shaken you to the core. Feng Min really meant it when she said it would hurt for awhile.

"Just...get it over with..." you choked out, finally tired of this asshole's bony shoulder tearing into your stomach.

"Oh, don't worry," Ji-woon crooned, a sickening glee dripping from the tone. "I will, but not before you see this!" Immense pride radiated from the killer's body as he tossed you on the ground.

A hook jutted from the grass only a foot away from your face. Drips of blood pattered against your cheek and you lifted your head to find the source. A pair of black loafers dangled near your nose and soft grunts could be heard.

"D-Dwight...?" you whimpered, a sob bubbling forth.

Nothing. No response.

"Dwight?!" you tried again, louder.

Ji-woon's laughter filled the air and he came around until the tips of his shoes were in your face.

"Ahh," he moaned with excitement, swinging a customized version of a baseball bat in his hand. This one was neon purple and sported a gnarled looking blade. "Yes! Cry more, darling. I want to hear it ALL!" Lifting the bat, he reared as far back as his reach would allow. "CRY FOR ME!" In an instant, the blade rammed into Dwight's side, treating the poor man as if he were a human pinata.

A shriek of pain wrenched from Dwight and your own scream nearly matched his intensity. There was a sound like thunder and Ji-woon cupped a hand around his ear.

"Truly intoxicating," sighing, he wrapped his arms around himself in a makeshift hug. The bat smeared fresh blood all over his coat. "Like music to my ears!"

The Entity was coming. You knew it. You recognized that sound.

"Dwight...I can't..." sobbing, you buried your face into the dirt. This was something you couldn't bear to witness.
