See you soon.

What the hell could that mean?

Ji-woon was definitely planning something. The thought kept you up all night, tossing and turning in the wool blanket. With no signs to tell the time, you had no idea how long you were awake for. In fact, there wasn't even a day night cycle present in this world. At least it didn't seem like there was. There were no clocks, no rising sun, and a permanent moon hanging in the sky eerily. The more you thought, the more your mind felt awake. You just wanted to rest. Right when you pressed your eyes shut, there was a soft knocking at your door.

Whatever. You weren't sleeping anyway.

Rolling out of bed, you wrapped the blanket snugly around your shoulders. Trudging across the wooden floor, you reached out a hand and slowly turned the knob. Hopefully it was Jake returning with news on your inquiry.

Surprisingly, the porch was empty. Furrowing a brow, you stepped out into the open. A quick glance around deemed no signs of life. All was quiet and the low thrumming of crickets could be heard. There were a few shadows in the far distance, some survivors still hanging around the campfire. But there was no way any of them could have knocked.

You were about to return inside when your bare foot stepped on a piece of paper.

Not again.

Sucking in a breath of air, you held it in your lungs and reached down. This seemed to be a sheet of notebook paper, torn at the edges. On it, a short letter was addressed to you.

Dear, (Y/n)

Please meet me out in the field, near the old generator. You know the one we practiced on before? I have something very important to give you.

Dwight.

A gift? You couldn't possibly imagine what it might be. Yet, you'd be damned if someone caught you sneaking out at night to meet with the leader. They already assumed you two were getting together and this would only further cement the rumors. However, the curiosity was eating you up inside. And how could you let him down? He was waiting there for you. Probably right now! A chill had graced the brisk night air and you didn't want him catching a cold before the next game. That would only further your hand in his suffering. You already were embarrassed enough that he felt the need to protect you.

With a short sigh, you slipped back into the cabin. Grabbing your newly acquired jacket, you shrugged it on over your tank top. After pulling on a comfy pair of joggers, you set off for the abandoned field.

Once the vine riddled generator was in sight you cupped a hand over your mouth and whispered out, "Dwight? I'm here!"

There was a shuffling from the other side and you squinted into the darkness. Sure enough, a figure slipped around a corner of the dormant machinery. You couldn't quite make out his features but damn he was coming towards you fast!

"What are you-?" the words had barely left when his fingers wrapped around your arms on either side. Pulling you straight into himself, his lips were on yours in an instant.

You let out a muffled gasp of surprise and froze in place.

Was this the gift? If so then, damn, he sure was being ballsy.

He was kissing you so passionately. A heat rose in your cheeks and you felt your tense muscles relaxing. He was wild, kissing you with need. You almost felt like you were being consumed whole. Both of his arms snaked around your waist, one of them settling in the small of your back. He used it to push your body against his. You sighed against his lips, feeling as if you melded so perfectly together. It was hot, so hot, you were almost burning! The feeling was welling up in your chest and...was that something sticky on his stomach? The taste of old iron dripped off his tongue and you gasped.
