Darkness was descending and with it came a certain punishment for Karma Winsley. She knew there was no sense in hiding because he would find her. She had already hid everywhere there is to hide in the Winsley Manor. Now she was out of hiding place and she wince at the thought of what's going to happen to her.
Karma heard some voices coming towards her direction, looking about in fright for somewhere to hide she saw nothing but trees in the courtyard. Damn it, I’m climbing one of these trees.
Karma was almost at the top of the tree when she saw a huge man with short dark hair, dressed in a white linen shirt and black pants. He walked with confidence and authority. She couldn’t see his face properly, but he didn’t seem like the type of solider her brother had in his command. If he is a solider a fine one he must be, karma thought.
Five of her brother’s men ran in dark warrior’s direction, when they held his gaze they stopped in their tracks and drew their swords. “Don’t come any further.” One of the soliders said, his voice shaking with fear but the man continue as if he. Whosever this man is he has come to make trouble. As the warrior drew his sword she saw about ten more soliders heading in his direction. Surely, he couldn’t be that daft to think he could defeat so many men on his own.
She watched in astonishment as the warrior moved with lightning speed, though he was so huge and send two of the men flying. He moved gracefully, power radiating from him, as his blade whistled in the wind. Before she knew it several of the men were on the ground. She heard a scream escape from her, but it seem no one heard. He grab one of the wounded soliders, his hand tightening around his neck as he demanded, “Where is Winsley?”
“He. He Left.” The warrior let go of the solider, his hands clenching into fists at his side. This was her opportunity to get away Karma thought as she carefully climbed down the tree.
Duncan was beyond furious, the bloody coward ran again. Contemplating what he was going to do to that bastard when he get his hand on him Duncan headed towards where he thought he heard someone screamed a minute ago.
Oh God, he was approaching her hiding place. She quickly climbed back up the tree. She stretch her foot across to meet another branch before her, but her foot slipped. ‘Dear God.’ I was falling. I was going to die. She squeezed her eyes shut hoping she would just disappear. Karma didn’t see this coming she always thought she would die at the foul hands of her brother’s.
Duncan heard a scream above him and he quickly looked up. “The Hell!” Duncan instinctively stretched his arms to catch the female that came crashing into him.
Duncan was about to push the woman from atop him when her golden hair caught his attention. There were about million different shades of them, they glowed in the sun. He was compelled to trace his finger over it. He slid his fingers through her hair feeling the soft, smooth caresses of her hair under his fingers. It was the most beautiful thing he has ever laid eyes upon. At least that was what he thought until the woman laying on top of him came back to consciousness. As she lifted her head, revealing her face perfectly heart shaped face, he stare at her in awe, he knew he must have looked like a simpleton with his mouth gaping, but for the love of him he couldn’t quite keep his mouth close. Her lips full, pink and soft and he wonder what the might feel like under his. Her nose perfect on her face and her eyes… They were blue? No. They were green? He wasn’t sure what colour her eyes were but he was sure of what eyes like those could do to a man.
