Chapter 4: Super City Saviors

The Gang as of now consists of Spike, Colt, Edgar, Colette, Tara, Sandy, Gene, Barley, Byron and Piper! Colt speaks up "Aha! The Super Hero trio are perfect for this! They will no doubt help us if it's for the people!" "Where are those kids?" Barley asks the bunch. "I'm not sure." Piper replies.  All of a sudden, a quick shadow is casted above everyone. "What was that?!" Edgar looks around the area.

"Up there!" Colette points to the sky. The three heroes of Super City zoom through the skies of Super City "Let's go, gang!" Sounds the leader of the trio, Max. "Roger that!" Meg replies, a sidekick to Max. They both are on their robot sidekick, Surge, using his jet pack to fly to places "I got the juice!" "Whoa! So cool!" Colette admires their actions. "Wonder what villain they're facing right now?" Colt adds to the conversation.

"Should we really be disturbing them while crime fighting?" Barley asks. "No, I do not think so..." Piper replies.  The gang waits for the Heroes to complete their business, as they do, they descend onto the ground where the rest stand. "Great work, team! We got them good!" Max compliments the rest of the team. "y-yeah, we sure did." Meg adds to what Max said. Surge pulls out a thumbs up. He doesn't have the widest vocabulary.

The Trio then notices the main gang standing there, watching their moves. "Aha! Hello there, Super City citizens!" Max greets them all. "How can we be of assistance?" Meg adds to Max. "Well, you see..." Colt starts conversing "It's a complex story." "Complex, you say?" Meg responds, she is definitely the brains of the trio. "I'm all ears." Meg says "Speak it out!"

Colt starts starts the summary. "We found a man who just bought something from the gift shop and as he left, he has somehow left cryptic information that left us thinking that we all have missing identities that were taken away for the sake of every match we play. They might be using us for something we are unaware of." "Yes, yes, all that information is soaked in." Meg replies, nodding her head.

All of a sudden, an explosion is heard. "What was that?" Barley asks everyone. The explosion even woke up Sandy "H-huh!?" "I see that it's coming from over there!" Byron points out a building with it's based slightly destroyed and burnt out. "Is it another threat? We need to go!" Max uses a special ability of hers, everyone is now super fast "This way, everyone!" Everyone heads to the area of the explosion.

"What is going on here?" Max exclaims. The area was all messed up, one feature standing out from the rest. A robot, more notably from Robo Rumble sessions, all destroyed in the center. "Oh no..." Barley steps back from the crowd. "B-Barley! I'll keep you company for a second!" Meg calls out and heads over to him. "He, too, is a robot. But somehow, not a robot from Robo Rumble sessions. Did he get lucky?" Byron starts theorizing.

Max approaches it to examine. "As I thought, it's all beaten up." After a few seconds, Max catches a glimpse of something shiny. She dusts off the ash to find an old VHS tape. "Pfft." Edgar speaks up.  "Who even uses VHS tapes anymore?" Colt bumps him in the elbow "That's not why we're here." Colt steps forward "This may be crucial evidence." Colt adds.

Max examines the room "Ah! A tape player!" She runs over to it with top speed. Once she gets there, she inserts the tape. "Over here guys!" The gang gathers around the tape player and all listen closely. The start of the video is poorly cut out and the audio glitches a lot. From what they can put together, they hear these words "Technology is built to meet your insatiable appetite for fun."

"But what could that mean?" Max sounds perplexed. Byron and Piper turn to Barley, Meg still with him. "So does that mean... My only purpose is to serve not for happiness, but for business?" Barley contemplates what he just heard. "No! You can't just say that." Piper tries to cheer him up. "There is not enough evidence to confirm that theory!" Byron adds.

"Meg! Surge!" Max calls out. "We are joining forces and going to get to the bottom of this!" The Super Hero Trio have joined the squad! "That's great!" Colt replies. "With this new evidence, who should we go to next?" Edgar asks everyone then turns to Colette. "Oh, so you think I'd know who to go to?" she says. "Well... yes." Edgar answers. "Don't worry, I have the perfect brawler in mind." Colette gains a smug look on her face.
