Escape from Starr Park

Chapter 16: Start of an End

Team Recap! It has been temporarily reduced even more with Colt, Colette, Edgar, Brock and Shelly. They are heading to find the Shaman Trio to find potential clues about the situation.

"First things, first... Where are we even going to find them?" Edgar yells, gesturing with his scarf. "I don't think they have a certain area in the park to their trio... Maybe that old Jungle map?" Colette theorizes on where they could be. "No one's been there for a long time, though. I believe it's abandoned." Shelly exclaims. Everyone present tries to think of as many possibilities.

"They're most likely in a match or two."Brock suggests. "I mean, I have been in a Match with Bo quite recently."  Colt says "Back with the Mexican Entertainers right?" Edgar asks. "Yeah." "What are the chances that he'll be at the same game mode after all of this time?" Brock asks, bumping Colt with his elbow. "I assume it's very unlikely." Shelly responds. Edgar face palms.

"We're going nowhere! Where are those rascals?!" He yells out pretty loudly. Everyone stares at him with a weird look, "Dude, who would honestly scream in public??" Brock turns to the others. Shelly slightly cringes at Edgar. Suddenly, someone fades into their line of sight. "Hey. Were you looking for me or what?" It's Leon! He seemed to be eavesdropping on them while invisible.

"Leon? Oh! We found him!" Colette faces to the group pointing at Leon. "It's more like he found us, but oh well." Colt exclaims, shrugging. "Welp, what do you guys need me for?" Leon asks, taking out a fidget spinner and spinning it. "Where's your sister?"  Or even Bo?" Shelly squats down to get to Leon's height. "Well... I'm looking for them myself. I think they lost me."

"How?" Edgar asks "I thought it'd be funny to turn invisible and hide from them, kinda backfired..." Leon responds "I mean, he IS a child, they can be dumb sometimes." Shelly turns her head to the rest of the Brawlers. "Hey! I heard that!" Leon exclaims, offended. "Well, we'll help you find the rest of your trio!" Colt exclaims. "What?! I never agreed to this!" Edgar objects.

Edgar then sighs. "I should've stayed behind... Then again, theorizing is way more boring." "Edgar, do you even remember why we are doing this??" Colette grabs Edgar and vigorously shakes him. "Yeah, yeah. I doubt this 'Real World' is gonna be any better than what I have right now. I bet I'll be more depressed than anything out there." Colette looks at Edgar, concerned.

"You never know, Edgar. It may be way better than you think." Shelly turns to him, trying to cheer him up. "Excuse me, what?" Leon says, confused. "Maybe this topic isn't for people of your age..." Brock approaches him with Colt. After a bit of discussion, they finally start looking for Bo and Nita with Leon. "So where did you last see them?" Colt asks. "I don't know." Leon responds.

A lot of time passes, searching for someone in such an enormous Theme Park isn't exactly easy to do. "You should really have thought of the consequences before you did that." Shelly scolds Leon. "Yeah, yeah. And I'm sorry." He apologizes "You're acting like I'm a child and can't fend for myself!" Everyone else stares at Leon. "I mean... I AM a child but you get the idea!"

"I'm very capable of fending for myself!" Leon exclaims, hand crossed, looking away. The rest let out a bit of a giggle, except Edgar, he forgot how to laugh. Right at that moment, something catches Leon's eye. "There they are!" Leon quickly changes his pose from his crossed arms to pointing to the distance. Everyone squints their eyes to try to see from afar.

Brock puts on his sunglasses, thinking it'll enhance his vision. "You talking bout the bush?" Brock asks. "No! The thing in front of the bush!" Leon exclaims. He squints his eyes even more. "Ooooooohh, Nita and Bo!" Brock nods. Shelly, who is standing behind him, face palms while Colt bursts out in laughter. Leon starts running up to them. "Nita!!" He calls out.

In the process, he somehow trips and falls on his face. He groans as he tries to get up, the group catches up to him, "Leon, you good?" Colt asks "I think I am." Leon responds, wiping off the dirt from his face. Bo and Nita eventually catches up as well, "Hey, guys." Leon greets them worryingly. Nita growls as Bo starts speaking. "Where were you? And why are they with you?"

"About that..."Leon starts to break a sweat "I kinda went invisible without you guys knowing and kinda got lost. Heheh..." "Yep, that's really what happen. We decided to help him find you two." Colt adds to Leon's statement. "Everyone makes mistakes, and we always learn from them, as long as you don't do it again, I forgive you." Bo replies. "Oh. Well, okay then." Leon says.

"Anyways, let's just get this over with." Edgar blurts out. "Nita. Leon, do you know who your parents are?" "Why'd you need to know that?" Leon asks "And why didn't you ask me earlier?" He adds. "It gets a lot more complex the more we dig into it. To put it simply, we are not our true selves." Colt replies. "Wait, does this have to do with your discussion with El Primo?" Bo asks.

"It did!" Colt responds. "You two met before?" Colette looks at Colt. "I thought I told you this before, back with the Mexican Entertainers?" "That's beside the point. Let's just keep asking them." Shelly exclaims "So DO you know your parents?" Nita thinks about it for a second, vigorously shaking her head after. "The only father figure we had if I remember, is Bo." Leon says.

"Hold on." Brock interrupts, taking out his phone and making a call. "Hey, Rico!" Going into Meg and the others' perspective, Rico picks up Brock's call. "Rico! Rico! Can you send a video of that one scene?" "Request noted, select a start and end position?" "Ah... The scene with the roller coaster?" Rico then uses his hidden camera feature, he doesn't use it often. He takes the video.

After awhile, Rico is able to send Brock's requested video. As he receives it, he squats down, getting to the Sibling's height. "You gotta see this." He says, as he starts playing it in front of both Nita and Leon. "Hey, Nita, those kids look like us! Haha!" Leon exclaims. They proceed to watch it. "If it's not rude to ask, what were you discussing with El Primo back then?" Bo faces to Colt.

"Oh! If I remember correctly, we were talking about the current situation we're in, y'know, the whole identity crisis thing?" Colt responds. "Right..." Bo says, looking back down to the two kids. Leon is pointing at the screen, constantly shouting at Nita "DID YOU SEE THAT-?" Nita's face watching the video is of confusion and realization. Leon waves his hand in front of her face.

Leon takes another look at Brock's phone, also realizing something. "Hold on..." Nita and Leon whisper to each other for awhile. After their quiet conversation, they both take a seat on the floor, both of their faces are blank. Brock puts his phone back in his pocket, "Oh shoot-! Did it kill them?" Colette starts to get really worried "D-did it?!" Shelly kneels, trying to check their pulse.

"They both of a normal heart beat, and they're breathing normally, I think they'll be fine." Everyone sighs out of relief. "So, do we try to wake them up?" Edgar asks. "I think we'll let them be for a bit, we may get something out of it." Colt says, positively.
