IGGY GOES DOWN!
Poor, poor, poor Iggy.
That's how it's always been — poor fucking Ignatia. Rugs were constantly pulled from right under her, never leaving room for her comfort. Causing her to wonder, was all of this what she deserved? Being born as a trencher, by default, was it what she deserved? Or was it just the hand she was dealt? Which was easier to accept?
Ignatia couldn't escape the feeling of insignificance — or, in shorter terms, feeling like absolute shit.
For a moment, little Iggy had thought she had reached the light at the end of the tunnel. Sure, she was a trencher, but she was in good hands. She wasn't the mischievous orphan who had no one anymore. Iggy had friends. She had a family. But, as per usual, not for long.
Her enjoyment was abruptly caught short by the events of one terrible night. A night that was going to completely change her life for the worst. Burdening her with the loss and heartbreak of abandonment, she took to the streets of Zaun like never before. Going from mischief to menace, using her own insufferable pain to justify her actions. Just like everyone else.
As she thought her suffrage had reached its limit. After an extraordinary show in the Undercity, from her band, she goes to another to celebrate. Midway through her celebratory drinking and gluttony, her eyes land on a set of fiery grey ones. And for a second, she believed the world around her had repaired.
Little did she know, that wasn't the complete story—if there ever was one.

author's note hello you guys!!! i originally didn't plan on republishing this fic, but in honor of season 2 coming out in november... i decided to just go through and edit some of the grammar mistakes and semi-cringy stuff.
i'm actually really impressed with my work on this... i don't think i could ever write like this again. so i might as well keep it up.
