Revelations (Fireoiny + Pinleaf)

There's nobody better than you

Class ended and Coiny left without a word. He refused to look at Firey for the following class as well. He didn't know what to make of his discovery.

So, to his hideout he went. How little the door creaked and the gaps between the books on the shelf that served as a back wall became all the more obvious he entered. So quiet, so stealthy.

What would Firey do with all he'd seen? No. No, Coiny couldn't be 100% sure Firey knew. Maybe it was Leafy and someone else he'd heard, maybe Firey had just tripped outside the library, and maybe, fucking maybe Firey just so happened to have gotten anime recommendations from someone else that he'd written on his arm.

Coincidence. It could all be coincidence. It better all be coincidence. Coincidence that Firey had been acting so off recently, coincidence that Coiny had been the one instigating all of their fights. Coincidence.

'God, it doesn't even sound like a word anymore.' Coiny scoffed before slumping on to a beanbag. He knew going over everything in his mind over and over again would get him nowhere. So, he figured he would clean.

Cleaning was always a good and productive distraction, and he knew that his junk drawer was probably way out of hand by now. So, he slid off the beanbag and opened the drawer, fully ready to be productive.

Only to be confused at the sight of a mostly clear drawer, and a note. "Cleaned out this drawer for you, yw"

He blinked. Nobody knew about this hideout. Well, Pin knew it existed, but she doesn't know where it is. Who could've written this?

Coiny flinched. That handwriting.

He immediately stood and went to make sure the intruder didn't mess with anything else. No other drawers disrupted, nothing moved, his textbooks...

Skepticism made way for certainty.

He took the note from the drawer and compared it to the scribbles in his English textbook. Scribbles he hadn't made.

They were the same.

That was all it took. Now, all Coiny had to do was figure out what to do with this information. A plan was needed.

Leafy was relieved to finally have a break when she went to get lunch with Pin like they had been all week, and she was glad it wouldn't be cut short today.

And to make it up to Pin, she'd decided to bring a home baked cheese cake. It was oreo flavored and at first Leafy was concerned of how she would keep it in tact on the way to school, and at school. But her first period teacher had a mini fridge, and Leafy was a total teachers pet so she was able to store it there.

As the bell rang for break she told Pin to wait up for her and she rushed to retrieve the pastry before going to meet her at the café.

"Pin!" she called out as she spotted that familiar ruby red hair.

Pin turned and lit up at the sight of the noirette. "Hi Leafy! Did you get what you were looking for?"

Leafy sat across from Pin and nodded excitedly, pulling the cheesecake out from the lunch pack it was in and removing its lid. "Surprise! I don't know if you like cheesecake, but if you do, take this as an apology for ditching you yesterday."

"Oh Leafy, you don't need to apologize. I do love cheesecake though, so I'll accept anyway."

It took all of Pin's willpower to not propose right then and there, and while Leafy couldn't see that, she could see Pin was seemingly very joyful over the surprise.

She eagerly took a slice and all but teared up at the sheer perfection gracing her tastebuds. "Leafy oh my goddd, you're my favorite person ever."

"Glad you like it, I'm kinda impatient so baking isn't exactly my forte but-"

"You baked this?!"

"Yeah, it took forever but I think I did alright?"

Pin blinked. "Wh- You did. more than alright! I thought maybe you got this from one of those factories but damn, home baked??"

Leafy giggled at how shocked Pin was, a warmth overtaking her chest. She paused. 'What was that?' That feeling in her chest, it was more than just fondness.

But, if it wasn't fondness... What was it?

Leafy was sure she had blanked, and was concerned when she saw Pin checking her phone.

"Huh, Coiny just messaged me about some revenge plan." She glanced back up at Leafy and rolled her eyes. "Wonder what that's about."

Anyways I was squealing while writing the Pinleaf fluff bc I am a Woman Liker and that is literally so embarrassing </3
i do wonder whats gonna happen with Firey and Coiny though,,,,,, guess you're gonna have to see next week.
