"AAAHHHH!!"

"Stop screaming! The power just went out-" Coiny is cut off by more screams. He heard a loud thunk! and flinched away from the sound, remembering he'd been holding a shampoo bottle. He doesn't know if it would've landed on his foot, but he's going to thank his quick reflexes for the fact that it didn't.

Firey still held his wrists, but his grip was loose. Coiny slapped a hand over his mouth to get him to shut up. "Did you hear me? 20/20 vision! The power went out." Coiny knew Firey couldn't see him, but he still glared in his general direction. Wait, "Did you just- EW YOU, IMMATURE! IDIOT!" Firey had licked his hand, and was now cackling as Coiny attempted to wipe his hand on Firey's.. face? Sleeve? He can't see what he's wiping it on but he hopes it's Firey's face.

Coiny's trying to push Firey back, when he hits his knee- he forgot he was standing in a bathtub- and trips. Now it's Coiny's turn to shriek as he anticipates the floor, but is instead met with warm arms supporting him. "Coiny please don't die from tripping in my bathroom, I can't clean blood in the dark."

Coiny slowly stepped out of the bathtub, trying to ignore how Firey didn't seem to be struggling with holding him up at all. and how his arms felt, and how his face was maybe centimeters away from his chest. Coiny was partially grateful for the lack of light, as that meant Firey couldn't see his bright red face and wide eyes.

"Fucking- I can't see shit." Coiny waved one hand around, keeping the other firmly on Firey's arm so he didn't loose him.

"There's flashlights and candles in the kitchen." Firey moved his arm, instead opting to hold Coiny's hand. To guide him, no other reason, He told himself. "Stay close and don't trip on anything else, please."

Coiny didn't struggle to keep up with Firey, letting him feel the walls and do all the way finding for the both of them. "Do you think the beef is still warm?"

"Yeah, we can also heat up the tortillas over a fire or something." Firey shrugged, knowing it was unnecessary but still gesturing in instinct.

"...You don't have a fire place?" Coiny snickered.

"Who said we need a fireplace?" Firey finally found his way into the kitchen, that of which was dully illuminated by a window. The cloudy overcast and pouring rain made it look like it was the late evening, but it couldn't have been past 2pm.

Firey went to let go of Coiny's hand, but he was only able to move his fingers. Coiny held his hand in place, firmly.

"Uhh, Coiny? I gotta get the candles and.."

"Oh! Shit yeah, candles. I just uh, it's really dark out there, huh?" What am I thinking? The dull glow of the kitchen was a stark contrast to the rest of the house, shrouded in darkness. He wondered how him and Firey looked in the bathroom. Firey holding his wrists, and then supporting him when he'd almost tripped.

...Candlelight would've been nice in that situation.

Firey fished out a few candles and small flashlights from a cabinet and junk drawer respectively. He was glad he'd picked out scented candles, a little vanilla and elkwood, or whatever it was called, would make his house smell nice.

He handed Coiny a flashlight, and then remembered he needed a lighter to light candles and went to go find that. Meanwhile, Coiny went to inspect their cooking endeavor. Correction: Failed cooking endeavor.

It was still warm, but Firey had burnt it to a basically inedible crisp. Coiny wondered how he'd gotten so distracted, especially after all his talk about 9th grade chemistry and him condemning Coiny from the stove.

"How the tables have turned..." Coiny mumbled to himself.

Firey finished lighting a few candles, setting them on different spots on counters and tables. He looked back at Coiny and upon realizing tortillas weren't gonna work, he clicked on a flashlight and walked over to his pantry.

"Fireyy" Coiny drawled, leaning against the counter.

"Hm?"

"What're we gonna do until the power comes back on?"

Firey thought for a second, still kind of taken aback that Coiny wanted to be in his company. Or maybe he was just bored? He didn't know. Why did he ask for this tour, or to cook together? Why did he look at me like that before the lights went out?

"...I have a laptop and some movies downloaded. It's mostly horror because Leafy is a horror movie junkie, but I'm sure-"

"Horror works!" Coiny perked up, "Are we watching in your room or the living room?"

Definitely not my room. "Get some chips and go to the couch, I'll get my laptop." Maybe this wouldn't be so bad.
