Summary: Set in 2x2 "Alive and Kicking," when Mikael tried to stake Elijah with the white oak in the bar, because Davina lost her bracelet in the fight with the wolves. Instead of Elijah being able to stop Mikael from staking him with the White Oak, he barely survives. He survives when Kat comes in and magically throws the wolves off Davina, as well as Mikael off Elijah. Now that she's in New Orleans, what will happen between her and Elijah?
It was a dismal night, as a certain someone approached the scene. Mikael was trying to kill Elijah with the White Oak, while Davina was being attacked by wolves. Because she'd embraced her lineage, she was able to magically throw the wolves away from Davina. Then she turned her attention to Mikael. She magically tossed him off Elijah.
"Enough!" she yelled at Mikael. "Isn't it enough what you've done their entire lives? Now you continue this cycle of hatred?" she said, as she went to stand between her love and the abusive vampire hunter she'd once awoken to rid Mystic Falls of Klaus.
Mikael growled at her. He knew who she was, but didn't care how she was human with magic. He didn't care who she was. He only cared that she stood in his way of doing what he believed he should've done the first chance he'd had.
"Get out of my way. Otherwise, you'll be first," he threatened her, but she didn't heed.
In a blur, he sped towards her, but was stopped. Davina had taken care of the rest of the wolves, so both her and the former vampiress gave him a strong migraine. Then when Davina got her bracelet on, they stopped.
"Go back," Davina commanded him. Then when he was gone, she looked at her. "Thank you."
"You know, I'd do anything for you," she answered the witch. Then she knelt by Elijah on the floor. "You're gonna be okay, Elijah," she promised, pulling the White Oak out of him. Then she used a nearby piece of glass to cut her wrist, before putting it to his lips, making her blood go down his throat. "Just drink, Elijah."
After five minutes, he woke up after drinking for a few minutes. When he did, he was shocked.
"Katerina?"
"It's me," she replied with a smile. She then helped him up.
"What are you doing here?"
"Apparently, saving you and Davina. I'll explain why I'm here later."
"Davina," Elijah stated.
"I think you should leave her be. You and her have both been through a lot already. Let's just go home," Kat reasoned.
"Klaus," he reminded her.
"I think Klaus will play nice," she replied to him. She figured since she already died of old age, he wouldn't want to kill her anymore.
"Very well then," Elijah replied.
Soon enough, they entered the Mikaelson compound. They then headed to Elijah's room, where they closed the door behind them, hoping to have some privacy.
"Why are you here, Katerina?" he asked, though he was thankful that she'd saved his life.
"I'm human, so I need protection. No one else will do it," she stated to him. "You're the safest option I know, so I went to find you. That's when I saw what was happening."
"You know I'll always protect you, Katerina," Elijah stated.
"Thank you," she replied to him, glad that he'd accepted to protect her.
After a few minutes of them looking silently at each other, it was as if time hadn't separated them, and they began to kiss.
