Wake up, my love. Never thought you'd make me break me.

"Hey, Zoe." Brian whispered in my ear as I awoke, the room was covered in light that hit my eyes when I opened them.

"Yeah," I said, squeezing my eyes shut from the light and reopening them after a few minutes.

"You've been asleep forever. I didn't mean to wake you, but I just wanted to let you know that Stef and I were going to go find something to eat for a bit and hangout with Steve. So I'll see you in a bit." he kissed my cheek before heading out with Stefan.

I opened my eyes and sat up, I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep if it was already 2 p.m. so I meditated like Brian had showed me. It actually doing me good, I was feeling better than before. I was becoming a fucking hippie, I noticed my stomach was sticking outwards more. I just rolled my eyes and ignored the infant that was growing.

"You okay?" My doctor waved his hand across my face as I stared across the room at the wall. I must've started blanking out like I did.

"Oh," I shook my head to stop looking at the green colored wall, "I'm fine, just staring off into space as usual."

My doctor sighed. "Well, you seem to be in good health. We're going to allow you to be taken out of here tomorrow." He smiled at me.

"Thank you, I don't know your name?" I felt the urge to thank him by his real name, not just 'doctor'.

"It's Geoff Rickly." He said shyly.

I recongized the name, but didn't want to say anything because the Geoff Rickly I thought about was a member of a band, not a doctor. "Thank you Geoff Rickly."

"Welcome," he walked quickly out of the room and into the room across the hall. I listened to the conversation that was going on over there.

"Doctor Rickly?" A small voice asked, it sounded like a child's voice. I wanted to go see exactly what it was. I snuck out of bed and went across the hall.

There was a boy, looked about the age of 6 from what I could see. His face was small and it looked like he hadn't slept or eaten in days.

"Yes Vincent?" Geoff answered. He bent down to meet the boy's face.

"Do you know when I'm gonna die?" The boy's voice was weak. It made me sorrowful.

The doctor's happy expression faded. "Son, your not dying anytime soon."

The boy sighed. "I feel like it. I don't think I can live much longer."

The doctor grew in worry. "Vincent, you can be a healthy boy. It just may take sometime. It takes people a while to get better. You will be a healthy boy someday."

"Well I don't think it's my time to ever be healthy." The boy's heart rate monitor paused for a moment.

Geoff hit the red button right next to the bed as the monitor stopped beeping, I realized what exactly was going on. I didn't want death happening around me.

I rushed back to my room, the last image of the boy in that bed made me feel sick and tramatized. I started to cry when I sat in bed. The thought of having a child die right infront of me made me want to die. It wasn't fucking good watching someone die right there.

I listened to the hallway again, the nurses and doctors rushed into the room and tried as hard as they could to revive him. Every time I heard screaming for a reply, no one answered. Which made me cry even harder. I layed down in bed and tried not to think about what was happening.

Minutes later, the noises stopped. But the whimpering and crying persisted. I knew something was wrong. I heard them wheeling something down the hallway. To me, it wasn't hard to guess what happened.
