Until They Met

PART 23

A/N Sorry y'all I gave the last part the wrong name, got confused, or just maybe did it absentmindedly. Anyways, there is no other problem with that. Enjoy!!

The next day came as quickly as it could. Betty had a small pit in her stomach like she was feeling nervous about the dinner but at the same time, she was excited following she was also quite surprised that her mother agreed, oh wait, she ASKED her to call Jughead over for dinner. She could not believe that this was happening. 

It was the morning time. She woke up in her bed stretched her arms and went inside her bathroom. It was not a school morning but she had made plans with veronica to meet at pop's and catch up. 

Betty took a long relaxing bath and got out with a towel wrapped around her body affixed tightly by her hand, she sat on her vanity looking at herself when she heard a knock on her window. She quickly looked there and saw one and only Jughead jones.  Her eyes widened as she was certainly not ready for such a surprise she stood there for a moment and jughead quickly turned his face to the other side, considering he was on the ladder. She quickly ran into her bathroom and grabbed a bathing robe and tied it, then went to open the window. When she opened the window the only thing that fell out of her mouth was. 

B- what are you doing here? I thought you weren't to come until evening. 

J- Well, I can never get enough of my Juliet.

Betty blushed at the mention of the word JULIET. Jughead had never called her that before or any other name than Betty for that matter, well everything has a starting point she thought to herself. She leaned in and pecked him on his lips. Jughead pulled away smirking. 

J- And that scene was totally unintended, but don't worry I didn't see anything. 

B- Well good for you Romeo.  Betty said this just mocking him for using Juliet as a nickname. Jughead chuckled a little and silence filled the room, he broke the silence 

J- so, you going somewhere? getting ready so early in the morning? 

B- yeah, Just had to meet Veronica at Pop's 

J- okay, then I will let you get ready. bye 

Jughead waved before going out towards the window. Betty knew something was up, Jughead was for sure a lover but he only acted like this when he was hiding something. So, before he could go anywhere, she pulled him close to her and said

B- Jug, is there something bothering you?

J- N-no

ha! betty thought to herself, Jughead only stuttered when he was telling lie or very nervous. 

B- Jug, What are you hiding? 

J- N- nothing.

B- I know you well, love I know you stutter only when you are hiding something, come on you can tell me. 

J- It's stupid, 

B- You can tell me 

J- I am nervous about the dinner tonight, more nervous about your mom. 

B- I know me too. I mean, I know my mom, for her this is a game of cards and she plays her cards very carefully. But don't worry, I will be by your side the whole time. i wont let her do anything to you 

Both of them burst into laughter and a voice came from downstairs. 

A- Betty! is there someone upstairs? 

Both of them got alert and Jughead immediately ran towards the window. before going downstairs, he said

J- I love you, See you tonight 

Betty just smiled but got interrupted by her mother's voice again. 

A- Elizabeth you tell me this moment or I am coming upstairs. 

B- No Mom!  I was just talking to Kevin on the phone. 

Betty smiled to herself and in the mack of her mind, she just wanted to get to know what was going to happen that night.
