The Flash: Paradox

Nora looked on in confusion at the scene in front of her. There stood a villain who should not be appearing for a while.

"What's Gridlock doing here?" Nora asked herself looking at the masked man.

"Forget him?!" She heard her father speak who pushed the meta human with super- speed getting wide eyed reaction from her. "What are you doing here?!" He turned towards Nora, annoyed by her. "You were told too---"

"Watch out!" Nora yelled surging forward and pulling her father away from an electrical shock.

"What was that?" Caitlin asked seeing the man standing there, giggling and laughing to himself from Barry's camera.

"What the?" Barry muttered looking at the man who was covered in electricity now. "Didn't I hit him?"

"Yeah so that's his thing." Nora muttered as she helped her father stand. "That guys can take any kinetic energy around or inflicted to him and dish it out by converting it to potential energy."

"What?" Iris voice came.

"You beat him up, he gets strong." Nora huffed explaining the meta powers. "He moves, he generates kinetic energy which he could convert to potential energy that he could use, which means he gets strong."

"So with every single step he takes he will keep on getting stronger." Cisco said understanding his abilities.

"Yea--dodge!" Nora yelled as he pushed her father away, both running in opposite direction from the man, keeping safe distance. "I remember Bart calling him masochist of the century." This part was said with a snort.

"I'll call him that too." Ralph muttered as he looked at the black masked man.

"That's well and good." Caitlin was the next to speak up. "But how are we going to stop a man who could cause a city wide havoc by walking around, any ideas?"

"I don't really know, Bart was the one who faced off against him, so I really don't-----wait stop!" Nora yelled as he watched her father ran towards Gridlock with superspeed delivering a very strong punch, throwing Gridlock into the van.

"What?" Barry asked turning to look at her.

"What did you do?" Nora asked in a hush whisper.

"Hey even if he could absorb kinetic energy." Barry began stepping up to her. "There's a limit to how much one could actually hold in, I mean, I've face all sorts of metas and all of them had limits...."

"Barry." Cisco voice came with a warning tone.

"So he should too, and I don't think he can tank such a large amount of force." Barry kept on speaking. "Also let's get back to the main point, what are you doing here?!"

"Uh Flash?" The officers that Barry saved tried to get his attention, who turned towards them quickly.

"Can you just give me a moment? Thanks." He turned back towards Nora who was about to speak up. "You know what happened the last time you went around running, we don't know what's happening with you and if---"

"Barry/Flash!" Several yells come making Barry flinch.

"Look behind you." Nora mutters and Barry did just, coming face to face with the black mask of Gridlock.

"Uhm, Hi." Barry says to the masked face. "I hope there's isn't any hard feelings about me throwing you into the van?"

Gridlock just pushed his arms back, punching Flash straight in the gut throwing him far into the sky. Seeing the Scarlet Speedster flying away Nora chased after him, meanwhile the people behind the screens had their jaws on the ground.
