You waited in the airport terminal where your boyfriend and his band were going to land any second. It has been a grand total of four months since you've last seen each other in the flesh, and you could wait one more minute. As soon as you reviewed his arrival text, your heart began to pound uncontrollably from the anticipation building up. It wasn't long before you watched as the airplane emptied its passengers.
After a large parade of people exited, a blonde quiff caught your eye. Immediately, you recognized that blonde giraffe to be your boyfriend, Luke, and you quickly ran in his direction, "Luke!" You shout. He then noticed you charging at him and dramatically dropped his bags with a huge grin plastered across his face.
His arms threw themselves open to catch you into his embrace. His long and lanky arms tightened around your body as you squeezed him right back. With his face buried into your neck he said in a muffled sound, "God, I missed you so much, y/n."
One of your hands found the back of his head and you tangled your fingers in his hair, "I bet I missed you more." You retort. He sat you back down on the ground and grabbed your face in one of his palms. Leaning his face towards yours, you locked lips for the first time in forever.
And it felt amazing...
