again, idea from zayn_malik_imagine

About a year has passed, and you decided to keep your daughter who is now almost three months old. With the help of your mom, you named your daughter Hailee. She has been your blessing ever since she was born. She taught you how to be mature and independent. You loved her with all your heart.

Luke decided that he couldn't be involved due to his career, but he never lost touch. He would occasionally call or shoot you a text wondering how you two were doing, but you haven't seen him since the night you told him you were pregnant. That was really tough on you. Even the thought of Hailee having to grow up without her father around killed you. You hoped that one day, it wouldn't have to be like that.

You sat at home, playing with Hailee, just spending quality time with your daughter. You phone beeped and you took a short break to look at who was trying to get ahold of you. Your smile weakened as soon as you saw the text:

Can I see her?
-Luke

Why the sudden change in heart?
-y/n

She's my daughter, I love her. And you.
-Luke

Fine. We're at home
-y/n

I'll be there in ten
-Luke

As if he as counting the minutes, a knock at the door sounded. You scooped Hailee into your arms and placed her in her bouncy chair as you answered the door. Opening it, it revealed the man that you haven't seen in a year. The father of your child. The love of your life- or so you thought.

"Hey, y/n." He greeted quietly. You smiled toothlessly and stepped aside so he could come inside. "Why are you here?" You ask as you guide him to where Hailee was in her chair. "Hailee needs a father. I need to step up and be what she needs." He replied. You nodded as he quickly walked up to Hailee and took her into his arms.

You watched as he gently rubbed her back lovingly, "It's your dad, sweetheart, and I'm not going anywhere this time."
