After our conversation, I felt relieved. I joined Daniel and we prepared even harder for the test, only this time we did it together.

I could feel someone constantly looking at me but I chose to ignore it since it's probably just one of our friends from the H.H who's checking to see how we're doing.

D-DAY

Ni-ki

We woke up as we barely had any time left to prepare ourselves before the test. The five of us who were chosen as the reps for the test headed to Heaven and proceeded to sit in our corner.

The first to perform was Heaven's vocal reps, Heeseung and Geonu. In contrast with us, they were all wearing white clothes, while the rest of us wore black clothes.

I looked at Daniel and Sunoo to see what they were thinking but they were too absorbed by the performance to notice, which was worrisome. Their performance was great, their vocals impressive it was almost impossible to point out any flaws.

The 5 of us looked at each other, our nervousness rising, as the duo left the stage, our vocal reps tried to calm down before they had to go on stage.

"Come on, Daniel, we can do this! Let's do even better than when we practiced and win this!"

Daniel nodded and smiled at Sunoo. I'm glad Sunoo said that cause now Daniel seems more relaxed. As they walked towards the stage we all encouraged them with a quiet "Let's go show them how it's done!"

Narrator

The lights went down, the music started playing and there he stood. A shining light. The only thing Ni-ki was focused on, standing brightly illuminated, Kim Sunoo.

He started singing as the music went on, displaying a beautiful performance along with his pair. All the reps looked at them mesmerized and immersed in the song as they felt the emotions they expressed, although among them all, Ni-ki looked completely aloof. His mind was admiring the wonderful performance and above all, his voice. It wasn't until the lights went out again that he was brought back to reality and realized he had a few tears on his face.

"Wow, that was amazing!"- Nicholas said

"We're gonna win. It was incredible!"- Jaeho complimented back

Ni-ki was still processing the performance as he didn't say a word. They now awaited the announcement of the results. Both duos were on stage, patiently waiting.

You could hear cheers from the other side "Wooow, they did it!!".

The Heaven duo won. They congratulated each other and went back to their seats.

"I'm sorry"-Daniel quickly apologized

"I shouldn't have said we'd win, I'm sorry."

"What are you apologizing for? Pull yourself together, we are only a few points behind them, I'll make sure we pass them when we win with our performance!"- Ni-ki said confidently
