I have a theory
A theory about love
How long does it last?
Forever or never?
Does it even really exist?
Before I state my theory,
I have some pondering thoughts
Is love just for a physical intimacy
Or is love because of tender affection and care?
I love you
Are three simple words
With great meaning
Yet those words are meaningless
Is love conditional?
If it is, could it be real?
Could it be real, if it can just be turned off
For certain reasons.
Do girls love more than guys
Or do guys love more than girls?
Does it even matter?
When two people are together, either’s love might be greater
Is love dependent on a touch or a kiss?
Is love dependent on audible words
Love can be shown by actions
Yet, love doesn’t need to be shown by actions
Is love passionate?
Is passion the feeling you have for intimacy?
Does love linger?
Does it vanish once a face is gone?
My theory is,
Love, no one knows what it is
Till someone can lay down a life
For another.
Love,
No one knows how it feels
Till they can throw away physical actions
And are fine.
Love,
No one is so sure how it is
Till they learn that it’s more than a mere crush
Or a like
Love,
It’s bigger than it takes credit for
It’s misused and broken
But it does exist.
