Two years later.

At past noon, cold wind breezed through the dark forest as an astray peashooter navigated the thick, tall trees. Leaves crunch as he took another step, and the unending darkness left him helpless as the moonlight barely lit through the dense, misty canopy of the forest. Moments later, there were footsteps that gradually got more noticeable in an interval. It was faint but the peashooter was able to hear it. They felt heavy as if it was going on the peashooter's direction. He was confused but decided to follow whoever was there.

His burning curiosity has led him upon two Zombie Heroes; the silhouettes that happened to resemble Super Brainz and Rustbolt. With their disproportionately-muscular stature as they were mostly mixed in into the fog glancing in every direction digging through the tallgrasses, there were no mistaking they are up to no good as the usual.

But the peashooter forgot to mask his presence, and as soon as he moved a few blades of the grass around him doing his very best to sneak through to investigate, the two Zombie Heroes flinched a little at the subtle sound of crackling. To them, it came out of virtually thin air.

"What was that?" Said Rustbolt in a rumblingly-deep voice.

Rustbolt turned his torso on the side as he looked behind him. Not long did a rocket-shaped blaster sprouted out of his back. A burst of discomforting screech would precede as the blaster stretched its metallic 'limbs' along.

However, the peashooter decided to power through, one at a time as he gently lied down on his 'chest', taking note of his every advance as he crawled carefully. He fought not to let even the smallest of grain of soil move too much as to alert the mighty footsteps of Super Brainz and Rustbolt who were wandering around, creating mini-earthquakes in their steps as the grass violently crackled and danced around them.

THUD. THUD. THUD. The footsteps were not only getting louder, but the following tremors worsened. The peashooter froze in his place as the ground below him felt as if it was about to collapse and reveal a massive pit that they will fall into. The peashooter subtly latched onto the ground out of his awareness. He was letting it go by, waiting for it to weaken and that they would pass by him by mistake.

HYIK!

The peashooter jumped slighty. He swiftly looked up, which was his first mistake as he was completely stunned by the purplish-white light rapidly building up as it was engulfing the place. Before it, he did manage to catch a glimpse of Rustbolt locking onto him eye-to-eye for a quick moment.

The peashooter tried to push himself up as fast as he could, but then he saw the laser discharge a red-purple-white light as it blared, colliding with his lower torso in the blink of an eye as it dragged the peashooter along, leaving a massive trail of displaced grass and soil as fragments of them rained towards Rustbolt's position and some up on the air. Super Brainz who were sprinting towards the peashooter had flew up into the air, stretching his fists forward as he tried gaining momentum for a decisive blow.

Unbeknownst, there was a large tree which is just meters away at a distance which the peashooter is heading onto. The ground rigorously pressing against his back stopped as he eventually hit a rough and solid surface, causing it to bend noticeably backwards and send him off to the sky spinning his eyeballs out. The peashooter could not comprehend everything that had chained since it was all happening within half of a second, and all he could process was the air blowing against him and the forest below melting into the fog.

Rustbolt wasted no time and started to hover as to not accidentally trip on anything as he followed: the hair-dryer on his one foot began crying awfully. He fired up at the peashooter again, but he struggled to keep his aim steady as the blaster swayed repeatedly from sustained high output. Though, he did manage to score a lot of hits even if it still went off-track just as often.
