Meanwhile in Zomburbia.

The whole city is fairly busy as of late morning, and everyone's continuing to do their daily work.

Zomboss began to dress up after having breakfast and ran towards one of his facilities, checking up on the massive cannon that they've got last midnight. He saw no visible damage to any of the parts, but when he started to activate the cannon, it didn't seem to work right.

Most of the main components functioned as expected, but a few received too little electricity, so Zomboss turned off the power then inspected the battery and the entire power supply. He turned the power back on and immediately noticed one thing: the battery isn't behaving right.

Zomboss dragged out his toolbox and proceeded to replace the malfunctioning components. After minutes of tedious work, he put his tools back into place and activated the cannon again. The whole thing was properly running at last, so he changed his gloves and went out of the facility.

"I'm not going to interview someone when I'm out of energy covering all these miles on foot," Zomboss mumbled as he went to one of his handmade scooters sitting beside the facility. He activated the built-in jets and went flying at immense speed right off the bat.

At the same time, Noise was standing beside the cell where Melonia is currently restrained inside. The peashooter tried to reason with her, but to no avail.

"Okay, you have to listen to me-" Noise asserted, but was quickly countered by Melonia.

"Do you think you can convince me to do your dirty work when you verbally attacked me EARLIER?" Melonia voiced, much to her fury, "No, never." She'd utter in a rough tone, shaking her head left and right.

Noise swallowed for a second and leaned forward slightly, "Keep in mind that was just acting, and nobody must know what I'm actually trying to do here." He declared once more.

"Like what?" Melonia contends, scowling at Noise, "You call that acting when I'm all now chained up here in this stupid little room and my kingdom destroyed?" She adds.

"Please, ruining everything I've had isn't any acting!" Melonia would mutter, much to her disappointment.

"The hell that place isn't your entire life," Noise deflected, "The world's bigger than that snowy castle. I mean, just look around ya!" He notes.

"I'm not dumb," Melonia continued to give Noise a sullen look, rolling her eyes, "I was hanging out with the kids until you pried into our business and killed their parents. You ruined everything!" Melonia expressed in frustration.

"You've said that like two times now." Noise attested.

"Yeah, nice try justifying your nonsense actions." Melonia contends.

"God, I don't really like talking with two difficult women," Noise facepalmed in his annoyance.

"Let me go from these chains-"

"Quit chit-chatting for a moment. He's here." Noise disrupts Melonia's speech, which then the peashooter glanced at his left, meeting Zomboss pull up in a segway.

"I flew to the border and broke my scooter's entire front, so all I'm left with is this two-wheeled whatever-the-hell-this-should-be-called." Zomboss commented as he came to a full stop. He attempted to hop out of the segway, but it tilted forwards and sent him falling on the ground head-on.

"Thought it'd be cool if I did a sick landing," Zomboss grinned as he stood up and shook off the dust that has gotten on his uniform.

"Anyways," Zomboss exhaled, "I gotta talk to the girl like I've said before, so don't mind me if I do." He shambled in front of Noise, opening the cell.
