My judgement:

I don't even know how it happened anymore, I once probably just decided that wood must be edible and started gnawing away on a toothpick until I
swallowed a piece.

Also ate a bit of wood while biting into ice cream on a stick as a child.

Tastes like old cardboard and whatever fall smells like.
I do still like to chew on it sometimes.
