"I do not understand why there is cranberry on this. It... it's pretty gross." Yelena said as she poked her sandwich. It was her first Christmas since the fall of the Red room. Natasha had been delighted when you offered to help Yelena enjoy the holiday season.

She was currently poking a christmas dinner themed toastie with her fork. She was eyeing it suspiciously. "You know there might be raisins in there too." You muttered. She looked at you like you were mad for a moment.

"Raisins in a sandwich!" She said and pulled a face. Looking around for a moment she spotted people drinking eggnog.

"What is that?" She asked.

"Eggnog. I don't really like it. They add liquor here. We could try some?" You offered. Yelena agreed and you hurried to the counter, ordering the strongest one they had. Just days before you'd seen Yelena out drink the Hulk and walk it off. You and Bucky were impressed. Peter was so surprised she could walk straight that he came unstuck from the ceiling where he'd been watching the drink off go down and fell to the floor on a flail of arms.

"I ordered the one with the highest alcohol count." You said as you came back and set the drinks in front of her. She downed hers with a wince.

"Hot... but definitely not alcoholic." Yelena said as she set her drink down.

"Believe me I saw what they were putting in it." You assured her. She shrugged and pulled a face.

"It just tastes... bad." She said after some thought.

"Yeah. It's my least favourite Christmas drink. But the hot chocolate is good. Just not from here. The best one of the coffee shops down the road. We get them for free because Tony moved a car out of their shop that got stuck in there during a fight. Plus he rebuilt it... he. He might have bought it actually." You said as you thought about it. "Nat takes me and Wanda there."

"She takes you to get free drinks at a coffee shop that the guy who is kind of your boss owns?" Yelena said and smiled.

"Well... yes. But it's still good." You insisted.

"Well this is gross." Yelena muttered.

"You know there's a soup place near here. They do all kinds. It's so good but no one else likes to go!" You said quickly.

"Then why are we pretending to eat this crap? Let's go. Time for christmas soup!" She said eagerly and got to her feet.
