Lee sighed as he put his hands in his pockets, "There's no more reason for me to hide it... the cat is already out of the bag. I'm not cheating on your sister because I haven't done anything wrong, of course, except telling you how I really feel-- I haven't done anything about it though." "Lee, you took me on a date." I said quietly. "It's just two in-laws hanging out Charlie, it's not like I have tried courting you or kissing you." bringing up that topic of kiss makes my cheeks flare up.
"But if you did tried courting... or kissing me, would it change anything?" I asked him, he opened his mouth say something but quickly closed it. After a few seconds passed he still hasn't said anything. "I am planning your wedding, You will get married to Celine, and I'm not gonna stop you." I demanded. He then nodded. "You are gonna go out of this bathroom and act as if nothing in this bathroom happened." He then slowly and almost hesitatingly left the bathroom. As soon as the door clicked signalling that it was close I let a sob escaped my lips as I fell to the bathroom floor with the toilet supporting my upper body. The pain was too much for my little heart to handle. They always said that love was beautiful and it only gets beautiful each day but no one told me the pain it came with it.
After letting my sadness out of my system, I then cleaned up my face and retouched my mascara to make it seem I was crying my eyes out in his bathroom. Then exited. "Sissy! Tell mom about your plans for my wedding-- Oh! Of course, the list I gave you." Celine said. I sat down at the table in front of my sister while on my right was my mother who was at the end of the table, while Lee sat next to Celine. I smiled professionally, the smile I usually gave my customers and looked at Celine and my mother but Lee. "I've already given out the invitations, the venue is absolutely beautiful-- and ready! The flowers are picked and it matched the beautiful hot and light pink balloons. Along with the food and cake, is ready. The brides gown and other gowns are also ready! So if the grooms tux. All we need are the ribbons, the host, music, and a bunch of other wedding stuff." I said
"Hmm... Sounds like Celine's 18th birthday party... we need more extravagant!" my mother commented which made Lee's eyes widen. "What more is there to add?" He asked with a small chuckle. "Fire works! A large wine fountain! Rose petal dropping wherever Celine walks! Spot lights! Stretch cars! Red carpet! The media!" My mother suggested, "Isn't that a bit too much?" Lee asked but my mother just laughed it off as she flicked her hand to show that everything she just said was easy. "Lee, you married my daughter. My daughter has standards. She's just not like any other woman." my mother said which made me roll my eyes. She just wants Celine's wedding to be the party of the year while she gives me more headache. "Fire works sounds wonderful! Actually all of them do!" She said excitedly.
I saw that Lee has this exhausted look and at the moment I felt like pulling his strings. "Noted, I'll see to it tomorrow." I smiled as I typed it down on my phone. Lee, if you think that having feelings for me is complicated wait till it sinks in that you're marrying my sister.

"Fire works!? A wine fountain!? What in the hell is wrong with your sister!?" Stella exclaimed as she looked at the additional list. "My dearest mother suggested it right in front of Lee and them. Lee has no choice but to comply with the requested of my dear sister." I said as I started trying to find anybody who could do the damn rose petal droppings. Everything was easy except the rose petals and the wine fountain. "Sounds more like a New year party rather than a wedding." Stella commented.
"Hey! Can you run to your apartment? I think I left one of the customers check and letter which they really want a reply today" Stella asked. "No problem! I was gonna pick up some coffee anyways?" I said as I made my way to my apartment. Walking from my office to apartment wasn't that far. A few owners of small stores waved at me as I just smiled back. Taking the elevator up to my apartment then right as I opened the door which I was getting ready to push hard since I never fixed my door but as I opened it, it was smooth but what shocked me even more was my apartment. There was bouquet of roses all over the room with petals covering the floor and furniture, at the kitchen counter sat a huge teddy bear with a large paper saying I'm Sorry -L. P.
Lee.
I bet Stella did this on purpose. She had something to do with this. My cellphone rang and I quickly answered it. "Do you like it?" his voice sounded at the other end. "What's this all about?" I asked as I picked up one of the flowers and smelling them. "I'm just sorry about yesterday." "A simple text would have sufficed." I said but he just chuckled and said "I had to do something to make your face smile since we are gonna be in each other's life forever." which was true he did made me smile especially blush.
"Oh, I also fixed your door." he said, I went over to my door and checked it which will now open and close smoothly. "I don't know what to say." I told him. "A simple thank you would suffice." he mocked me. Which I laughed and said "Thank you Lee, I gotta go work on your wedding." "Ok, take care Charlie. Bye." once he hung up and I hear the sound of no one on the other end. I said to myself;
"I love you too Lee."
as a tear ran down my face.
