I stumbled into my apartment as I tried opening the door which was jammed up, and I couldn't take time from my precious job to fix it. It's been a month since I met Lee Pace, and there was no sign of him trying to find me. God only knows how many times I go to the grocery store in hopes I would see him again. I took off my heels and groaned as my bare feet made contact with the flat floor. I went to my land-line phone and noticed I have two voice messages. I pressed play and waited for whoever's voice filled the room. A part of me hopes it's some kind of miracle that Lee would find me.

"Ms.Swan! Where is your rent!? It's already been three months!! I warn you Ms.Swan that if you don't pay your dues within the end of the month you will be kicked out." the owner of my apartment left a message for the 15th time this week, that was the exact same message he left me. I could already mimic the words already. I then pressed end already knowing what he would say, I could pay for my rent easily but every time I had money either one of my family members asks for it or suddenly the food in my fridge seems to devour itself. The next message play as I went to the refrigerator to grab something to eat,

"Charlie! It's me Celine!" my head snapped up from the refrigerator. Shocked and confused. "I know it's been long since we last talked but I had to share some good news with you... I'm getting married!!" now I was more than confused. "I want you to plan my wedding! Please Charlie! Call me!" her chirpy voice ended with a beep.I stood still in front of my fridge still processing my little sister's words. Did I hear right?

I couldn't quite wrap my finger around it. Celine was always the out going one, the one who couldn't stay with a man for a month, the one who had more and popular friends. She was the sister that went on multiple dates that each time she would come home she would say He is the one. Never in my whole life would I imagine Celine to settle down especially before me. I always thought she would end up with multiple babies, each one having a different father. Without even thinking I ran and dialed Celine's number. It rung only once then came the annoying chirpy voice "Charlie!! You called!!" Oh great.

"Hey Celine!" I said pathetically trying my best to sound happy to hear her voice. "Can you finally believe it!? I'm getting married! Can we drop in tomorrow morning at your office?" Celine rambled on, "Yes, yes... where did you get this guy-- and how long have you guys been together." I asked, I mean who knows Celine might be marrying a total bum which means they couldn't pay for the planning. I need money, she needs to pay even though she's my sister. "You should have been there! It was so romantic!! He was drinking with a few friends in LA and I was dancing, later on he asked my number and of course I gave it to him. He is like freaking hot! We have been together for a year!" she said all too excitedly. "A year!?" I shouted back, heck! I wasn't even sure keeping my Iphone for a month.

"His parents are so lovely! You should have been there!" I did not want Celine to remind me of my pathetic love life especially when I forgot to give the guy my number. "I'll just meet the guy tomorrow ok?" "Ok! See yah sis!" she chirped as she hung up on me. As soon as I put down the phone, I dashed to my kitchen and opened a none opened wine and drunk it from the bottle. Chugging it down. I loved my job, making people's dream wedding come to life. The last thing I need is one of my family members bugging me about how my little sister is getting married before me.

"And you didn't think to tell me this, why?" my secretary AKA my best friend since diapers, Stella. "Because you'll rant about how stupid I am." I replied, she was mad at me that I didn't tell her about meeting a guy. How did she find out? She went to the same grocery store and apparently the cashiers love to gossip. "You're lucky that you aren't feeling well because I would have told you off." she said as she got up and walked out of the door. "Thank you! Celine is coming here with her husband and I have a huge hangover." I groaned as I massaged my temples. "Your life sucks!" she said as she exited my office.

My office was huge since I am one of the busiest wedding planner there is, and one of the greatest as what the New York Times said. It was modern and full with glass. It was on the 10th floor of a tower, and I was very professional. I slammed my head on the desk willing my hangover to just go away. "Someone has a hangover." Celine's voice rang through the room making my head snap up to look at her. I made sure I was wearing something nice, which was a pink dress and black heels that made me look professional but not too formal. "Hello Celine." I greeted her but she just jog all the way to me and pulled me into a bone crushing hug. "I missed you Charlie!" I wish I could say the same.

"Where's your groom, did he already ran away?" I asked as she pulled away from the hug. "Ha. Ha. He is actually parking the car." she said as she smiled. But then the door opened and in walked Stella following behind her is Lee. Wait. LEE PACE!!! I quickly stood up from my chair and as Lee's eyes met mine his widen. It was quick for me to connect the dots. My sister was marrying Lee Pace. The Lee Pace that I had a semi date with, The Lee Pace that I have been thinking for the pass few days because he was the only man I have ever dated even though it was just for a day. Stella's head was travelling from mine to Lee then to Celine until she also connected the dots then her mouth formed an 'O'.

"Charlie, I want you to meet my handsome and total awesome Fiance Lee Pace. Lee bear I want you to meet my older sister Charlotte but everyone calls her Charlie." Celine said as she was bouncing from me to Lee. Lee couldn't take his eyes off me and I too couldn't take my eyes off him. "Oh Crap, I forgot the list I made in the car." Celine said as she was rummaging through her bag. "I'll go get it." Lee volunteered but Celine said "No, stay here I want you to get to know my sister." then she smiled as she also pushed Stella out of the room. "How come you didn't tell me?" I asked him once we were the only two in the room. "Well I didn't know you were her sister, she only told me very little of you. Besides you didn't say that your last name was Swan," he said, "And besides it's not like we dated or something you know. We just met and got together as friends. The tree and the vertically challenged person."

A pang of sadness hit my heart hard. Friends? The only time I let a guy in for me to date thinks that we are friends, like that meeting meant nothing to him! For me it was something special, like fate! "I know, I know but it would've been nice if I knew you were getting married." I said, "I just asked her the day before we met. You didn't even asked me if I was single or not!" Lee said getting frustrated. "You asked me out so I thought you were single!" I snapped back, "It was a one time thing!" Lee said, I was so angry from this point and my hangover wasn't helping. "Well if you weren't so charming and God damn handsome we wouldn't be in this position. It's your height that's brought us together and even if you didn't ask me out I would still like you." I blurted out only when it was out was when I totally regretted it.

Celine walked in with a very long list, she looked between me and Lee and asked "Is anything wrong?" I then beat Lee to say something "Nothing sis, I was just telling Lee that he is as tall as a friggin tree." I said with a fake smile. "I know right! Good thing you both are getting along, now I need your help with my vows."

God help me.
