The next morning, knocks sound at my bedroom door. I slightly open my eyes. I look to my side and I remember that Sydney didn't sleep here the previous night. I groan and get out of my bed. I'm coming.

I open the door and my mother is on the other side of it, a wide smile on her face. "Good morning." I place my head on the door. "It is time for you to get up, and there's a delivery outside for you." Karen says.

I immediately run to get a shirt and my flops and rush for the front door. I had forgotten about that. When I get outside, a truck is already at the gate. Tony jumps out of it. "Hey man. The car is in the back." I nod.

I open the gate and step outside. Tony opens the back. The car has a big red bow on it. "So, is it getting out now? Or.?" Tony asks me. I sigh. "Yeah, let's get it into the garage. Can you reverse inside?" Tony nods.

In the meantime, I grab the car keys of my Maserati and take it out of the garage. I need to hide that car before tomorrow. I park the Maserati under the sun roof next to my dad's car.

Tony reverses the truck inside. He stops and pops his head out of the window. "A little help please. Can't afford to knock anything."

I nod and help him reverse in front of the garage, leaving space for the car to exit the truck. Tony then tosses me the car keys allowing me to park it into the garage. We share our goodbyes and then he leaves.

My mother has been watching us the entire time. "Please don't say a word about it." She takes her fingers and pretends to be drawing a zip closed on her mouth.

We enter the house. "So, are you going to book a hotel for the night?" She asks. I nod. "Yeah." She furrows her eyebrows. "I forgot to ask. Who's going to be your best man?" I remain silent.

I would have loved for Keith to be my best man but he isn't returning any of my calls and it's almost like he's blocked my number completely. My gut tells me its got a lot to do with Sydney. "I, could talk to Keith?" My mom offers.

"Hopefully he answers you." I go back upstairs to pack my things. When I'm done, I take a shower and leave.

Sydney's P.O.V.
Nthabi and I are making breakfast and giggling about the event of last night and the fact that I'm getting married tomorrow. "No, friend. I seriously always thought that I'd get married first. You don't go out or interact enough with men for you to be getting married so soon." I roll my eyes and eat a piece of a pancake that Nthabi has just finished making.

She looks at me, slapping my hand. "Wenzani(what are you doing)?" I kiss her cheek. Andre's mother joins us. "Morning girls." We greet her back with smiles. "I'm so sorry to bother you, but could I speak to you for a bit Sydney?" I nod my head and follow her out to the garden.

We sit alongside each other. "I don't know what did and what didn't happen in Seattle, but Keith isn't answering to any of our calls and frankly, Andre needs a best man." Karen tells me.

I didn't know Andre didn't have a best man. I sigh. "I don't think I can do as much of a better job than all of you have. Keith and-"

Nthabi comes rushing out to the garden. "Sorry. Keith, is here with some other girl and guy." I widen my eyes. That can't be possible. If he's really here, he's going against his own terms. Karen gets up and walks into the house. Nthabi looks at me.

"Asambe(let's go)." She pulls me up from my chair. We walk back into the house and there he is, standing in the hallway with a smile on his face and his bags on the floor.

He's wearing black ripped jeans, a white T-shirt and a green camouflage jacket. Our eyes find each other. His smile quickly disappears. He shouldn't be here.

He threatened to expose this family and now he's here. Nthabi walks up to him and hugs him. "It's so good to see you!" Keith hugs her back. "Yeah, it's good to see you too." "Sydney!!" I hear Thandos voice call.

I turn to her. She squeals as she embraces me. I tighten my hold around her waist. She looks stunning. Money really does look good on her. "Oh." She breaks the hug. "I'd like you to finally meet someone."

She beckons the man standing near Keith. He comes closer. "Vince meet Sydney. Sydney meet Vince." Vince and I shake hands and my oh my, Thando was not lying when she described his fineness.

"Congratulations by the way." He says. I thank him. He offers to take the bags to their room. I lead the way, Thando alongside me. "You know, I had to force Keith to come here, guilt-tripped him a bit." I look at Thando.

"C'mon. Don't make me feel bad for eavesdropping." I chuckle. "I just couldn't stand what he said to you. So I told him to come with us because he's got nothing better to do than to just mope around about you leaving."

"Well, thank you for forcing him. I guess." Thando smiles. We finally get to the room. Vince steps inside. "We're going out with my wedding planner in an hour to a salon." I inform her.

She nods and enters into the bedroom. When I get back downstairs, my mother is seated with Keith and Nthabi at the dinner table, eating. I sit next to Nthabi.

I'm sure these two are still pretending to not know each other. "Morning to you too Sydney." My mother greets me as she cuts her pancakes into four pieces. "Good morning Ma." I dig into my food, avoiding Keith's eyes.

He's not even hiding that he's looking at me. Nthabi stands from her chair. "Mmmh, I just remembered that I have to go iron my outfit and I have to do a few lady things."

She leaves, placing a quick kiss on my cheek and heads upstairs. The atmosphere suddenly gets uncomfortable. "Sydney, do you happen to know where Andre is?" I look up at him.

Is he seriously talking to me? "Maybe try calling him?" He nods his head. My mom stands up with her plate. "Wait, before you go anywhere. I need to know something before I get married tomorrow."
