Andre's P.O.V
Waking up to my mother's face was not something I was looking forward to. I groan as my head pulses. "Andre, oh my gosh, you're awake." I sigh and keep my eyes shut. "How long have I been out?" My mother brushes at my hair with her hand. "Only a day sweetie."

"Where's Sydney?" My mother removes her hand. "I don't know. She didn't sleep at home last night." My head only starts to hurt more at the thought of her possibly having have left with Keith. "Where's Keith?" I ask. My mother shrugs.

A knock sounds at the door. I turn my head and it's Elizabeth. Seeing the smile on her face kind of made my misery bearable. "Hey, really good to see you awake."

I smile. "Hey." She nears towards the bed and places a gift bag on the table. "What's in there?" She smirks. "That's for you to find out."

I turn to my mother who's watching us with admiration in her eyes. "Where's dad?" My mom rolls her eyes.

"You know, you ask a lot of questions for someone who just got out of a coma. But maybe it's the amnesia." I furrow my eyebrows. "Amnesia?"

My mother nods. "That's what your doctor said." I chuckle. "Damn." "Let me go get him." I nod as my mother stands up to leave the room.

Elizabeth walks around and takes a seat. She places her hands on her thighs. "I hope you don't mind me asking, but what happened?" I look at her and think really hard.

She frowns. "Andre?" I look at the wall. "I, I don't know." My mother and the doctor step into the room. The doctor pauses a foot away from me.

"Mr Miller. I'm Dr. Naidoo. So, I hear you're already aware that you have amnesia." Dr Naidoo stops for a second.

"It's probably just a mild case but you will find through time that there are things you can't remember. But don't panic, things will come back to you slowly but surely."

I look at the man. "How slowly is slowly?" The doctor presses his lips together. "I really can't tell." I sigh. "But hey, it could've been worse." I frown at him. "Thanks doc, that will be all." The doctor nods and leaves.

Elizabeth places a hand on my shoulder. "Andre, you do remember that you're married though, right?" I look at her and smile. "Yeah, I do. I just feel like there's something missing to it." "How many times do you think you got married?" I frown once again.

"Once? To you." Elizabeth nods. I look at my mother and all she does is cross her arms.

"Why didn't Sydney sleep at home?" My mother shrugs. "She didn't say anything. When I called for her and checked for her in the morning, she wasn't there."

I notice Elizabeth look at my mother."Now I just know that you're lying. And that's not your thing." My mother sighs. "Look, I'll get her for you. Stay here with Elizabeth and rest."

My mother exits the room.

I turn to Elizabeth. "How are you?" She sighs. "I'm better now that you're awake." I smile at her and hand her my hand. She takes it.

Sydney's P.O.V.
I groan as I wake up to a sore body. I turn over and Siya is still laid next to me.

A knock sounds on the door and then it opens. "Bab-" I turn to the door. Nandi looks at the both of us with a sort of disappointed look. Siya opens his eyes and rubs at them.

"Nandi, I'll be with you now. Go." A wave of shame hits me. She shuts the door and Siya sighs. I try to get up but Siya stops me with his arm.

"Hey, don't worry about her." By the look on her face I could tell that this is something he does frequently. "Maybe that's the problem." I softly say. Siya looks at me. "What do you mean by that?"

My phone suddenly rings. I grab it from the tabletop. I hesitate at the sight of Karen's name displayed on my screen. I turn to Siya and ask him to be quiet. "Hello?"

"Andre is awake and he wants to see you." With that said, she ends the call. I hurriedly get up. Siya leans up on his elbows. "What's the rush?"

"Andre's awake." Siya furrows his eyebrows. "So, you're not going to stay and have breakfast?" I look back at him. "I don't think I'll have the time. And I don't think Nandi wants me here anymore."

"I told you to not worry about her." I do the last touch ups and put on my shoes. "Look, Siya. I can't do this."

He sighs. "Okay. At least let me take you to the hospital." I look at him and eventually agree. He gets up and gets dressed. "You can take a shower. I'll go check on Nandi."

I nod. After that long night,I do need that shower. Siya leaves the room.

I almost jog downstairs. I find only Nandi in the house. I awkwardly look around. "Morning. Where's your dad?"

She gives me a stern look. "He'll be back." I nod and sit down. Nandi joins me on the sofa and only looks at me for a short second. "Don't take it the wrong way. I don't have a problem with you. I just..." She sighs.

"I lost my mom early this year and it, it hurts to see him with another woman." I look at her and suddenly feel worse than I did when she saw us. "I'm sorry. Siya never mentioned that to me." The girls sighs. "He never wants to talk about it."

She looks at me again. "But I don't think you're right for him. I can tell by the wedding ring on your finger."

I hide my finger with my hands and press my lips together. The front door opens and Nandi stands up.

"Sydney, let's go."
