Karen clenches her jaw. "You be careful of what you accuse me of." I sigh and reopen the fridge.

"What you should be worried about at most is ensuring that this child doesn't ruin your marriage." Karen exits the kitchen.

I stare into the fridge, her words linger in my head. She is right. This child could make or break my marriage. Especially if it's not Andre's.

With my mind so occupied, I don't even notice Andre enter the kitchen. "Good morning. What's got you hanging in the fridge for so long?" He smiles.

I look at him, returning it and closing the fridge. "Just couldn't find something worth my appetite." Andre places a kiss on my lips. I bite on my bottom lip.

Andre looks down at me. "You alright?" I nod and smile more. I move away from him. "I'm going to go the bedroom."

I rush up the stairs and into the bedroom. I really need to get a test and fast.

After making a Cappuccino, I check around the first floor of the house to see if Sydney's still upstairs and call Elizabeth.

I need to know how the centre is going. "Hello." She greets happily. "Hey, how are you?" "Well, honestly, I could feel worse so..." she chuckles. "What about you? How are you holding up?"

I take a seat on a kitchen stool. "I'm well. Although, it still feels like my memories missing way too many pieces." Elizabeth sighs. "Hey, don't worry. You'll be back to yourself in no time." I smile.

"Thanks. I needed to hear that." A short silence follows. "I actually wanted to know how everything at the centre is going?"

I can almost hear Elizabeth hold back a response. "Your uhm, your..." I furrow my eyebrows. "My what?" Your mother, put the building on hold. "She wouldn't tell me why, said it's none of my business."

"What? Why would she do that?" I softly ask. "I really don't know. " "Okay, thanks. I'll talk to you later."

I place my phone down on the table and leave the kitchen, heading to the bedroom. When I open the door, Sydney is doing her hair, already dressed.

"Where are you going?" Andre asks me. I finish tying up my hair and turn to him. "I was actually going to ask if you can drive me to the store?"

Andre looks at me before nodding. "Okay, let me just get a change of shirt."

I sigh. Ngzowenzani mengimithi ngempela(what will I do if I'm really pregnant)? I ask myself. As much as it could be bad or good news, the only thing I'm most worried about is if it's not his.

What if he instantly thinks it's not his? Him and I had sex just weeks ago but why am I only feeling sick now?

My mind starts overthinking about how Siya and I never used protection and I don't remember him pulling out neither of the times.

I hold my hands together as I notice them shaking. "Let's go." He says. I lead the way out. "Hey, wanna take the new car for a spin?" I smile widely and nod. He opens the garage where his Maserati should be parked.

I look at the car and my name on the number plate. We both enter the car and drive out. "I really should teach you how to drive." I chuckle. "That would be nice seeing as I have a car now."

Andre sighs. "I'm sorry your family didn't get to see it." I look out the window. "Well, it's not like it's going to grow feet and walk out the gate, so they'll see it."

Andre chuckles. "Feet." I roll my eyes at him. "What is it that you're buying?"

I shrug. "Just some lady things." He nods his head.

Minutes later, the car is parked at the nearest mall. "Should I come with you?" He asks. I shake my head. "No need. I'll be quick." I exit the car and head straight for Clicks.

I take my time in the aisle of the pregnancy tests. I take three and pay.

I shove them into my bag and head back to the car but Andre isn't inside.

I look around and wait.

He approaches the car shortly after with a bouquet of red roses in one hand. I smile at him. He smiles back. He comes closer to me and kisses me on the forehead before handing the flowers to me.

"Beautiful roses for a beautiful woman." I take them and thank him. He opens my door and I enter my car. I really love the sound of that.

We drive back to the mansion. I exit the car and the couple of the mansion is back. Jason looks at the both of us. "Well, hello." We both greet him back.

He heads upstairs. I turn to Andre. "I have to go to the bathroom. I'll be back." I kiss him on the cheek.

I enter the kitchen and sure enough my mother is sitting in the garden, a book in hand.

I join her. She doesn't look up. "How are you feeling?" I sigh. "You tell me. I mean, you stopped the progression of my company."

She turns a page. "When your memory is restored, you'll understand why." I place my hands on the table. "Whatever it is you're punishing me for, don't you at least think it's unfair to do that considering my situation?"

My mother keeps her eyes on her book. "No. Because you're not all that clueless about why I'm punishing you. I told you, she needs to go."

I glare at my mother. "Seriously? You did it because of Sydney?" She closes her book. "Andre, you're in your situation because you failed to listen to me the million times I told you to get rid of her. And now that things have taken such a, drastic turn, I chose to make a drastic decision."
