"You're fucked." John said and patted my back.
One year?
What is my mom thinking?
I know she wants me to settle down but like this? We didn't even go on our first date. That means I will have to introduce her to our allies.
It's a thing in the mafia when someone gets married, there's a big wedding, we didn't have that, but she will have to be introduced anyway.
That also means everyone will know who she is, when my enemies hear about this, it will be more targets on her head.
Yes, being married to her has been beneficial so far to my business, there's a lot of people thinking that I'm more trustworthy and stable with a woman by my side.
I don't know what to say to that.
I feel like if I disagree with them they will call me a male chauvinist.
Which I'm not.
But I also feel like I'm the same with or without a wife-see? I can't say anything, I can't explain. If I talk I might say shit after shit.
I see ma and Julianna talking and laughing outside, my ma can be very intimidating when she wants to be.
She's a donna after all.
She encountered some of my one-night stands, she never really liked any of them, specially Kassandra, she really can't stand her.
She can be annoying sometimes, and she's clingy when I told her not to be, but so far she hasn't done anything bad, that I know of.
They spent all morning talking, and when was time for lunch they kept going, switching between Italian and American. We all felt ignored but at the same time amused by them.
"So my babies how are you?" Ma finally looked at us and asked.
"Now, you remember that we were here?" Andrea asked and put his hand on his heart like he was hurt.
"Oh, hush. I needed to talk with my daughter-in-law." She said, I saw Julianna taking a deep breath but she didn't say anything.
"Julianna, do you want to go out now and we finished with diner?" I asked.
"Sure, let me just get my things." She said and got up.
Why did I ask that?
I have no idea where to take her.
Fuck.
"Andrea, shit, where do I take her?" I asked my brother that was sitting beside me and the fucker just looked at me and started laughing.
"Dude, relax. I already told you she's a simple girl." He said.
Simple. I can do simple.
