QUICK NOTE: I don't know who needs to know that, but in that book, unlike in "Amped up" (as some of my readers came from there :) ) I will be using legit, confirmed lore from Riot Games - Mirrored Earth and other stuff. If there will be a need, I'll add something from myself. That's all, enjoy :D

We stand like this without moving and he finally lets me go.
"I scared you, huh?" He says calmly. "I don't work for VALORANT. I came here to talk. Like friend to friend."
"Shit not friends. It's the past, and I won't talk to you on peaceful terms anymore."
I feel him tense up behind me, but he does nothing. He knows I can hurt him too.
His gaze scowls my skull from behind, focused. I try to breathe as evenly as possible so that even random passengers don't recognise me. However, I think my stalkers didn't even want to alert everyone around them so as not to cause a group panic. It would have been deadly, even, and would have only caused problems for the organisation too.
"I have an offer." He says in a matter-of-fact tone, however, as soon as the lift stops, I leave.
"Stay away, or you'll end up like my ex-husband." I say, carefully separating the words so that he understands the context himself.
I walk away, quickly and out of the building. I get into the nearest taxi and try to get away from my new problems. I don't look back, I just order the driver to drive to a poorer district of Split and drop me off there. The ride takes about fifteen minutes, but even that is not enough to calm me down completely. They have me in the database, and if that damn maid gives even more data, of everyday behaviour, I can consider my skills useless.
Good thing I have enough money for a month in my spare bag. I should be able to manage just fine on my own. I close my eyes tightly and finally remember, or rather I am again more aware of who I am. I stun the driver and take his earnings for today. It may be cruel, but so far I am the one who is unemployed.
I sit like this for a while longer, and then I give him the notes back. I am not sinister enough to deprive him of breakfast for tomorrow.
I will manage somehow.
When we finally arrive, I make him forget why he's here, so he returns, surprised. At least I won't have to pay for the drive. I walk up to a dilapidated building with a "Motel" sign and in a low voice ask for a room for a week.
The lady looks at me for a moment and then gives me the keys. As soon as I receive them I climb the stairs and fall into the room, lying down on the floor.
"Haha..." I let out a weak laugh and then involuntarily smile in relief. "Too easy."
Suddenly, I feel a huge pain in my head, as if someone had pierced my skull with a sharp knife. Jumping from one person's mind to another is... unhealthy. I should rest and breathe.
However, one thought keeps bothering me. That Vincent was there again. Why?
Was he looking for me? Probably. Fortunately, he's not on the side of those Radiants, or I would have been long gone by now. He's always been easy with his sweet words, giving a deceptive sense of security - I already know why you shouldn't trust that bastard.
We've always been friends. Then he started a company, blah, blah, blah, I supported him but what did it get me? Nothing, of course, because he immediately dismissed me as an obstacle and told me not to show up again. Why, I don't know. He claimed he didn't have time to focus on me. Overall, he handled me very nicely, using "nonchalant" expressions. I would like to understand his actions.
