Ink's POV

It's about 1:30 in the morning, and my insomnia is kicking in really badly. I could barely even close my eyes, I'm just starting at my empty ceiling. "Thank God I don't have any practice tomorrow" I think to myself.

How should I even pass the time, it's to dark and quiet to do any at this time of night. So I did want any lonely person in the dark would do, surf the web, on my phone. I was just looking up things online like "How do I fall asleep faster?" or "Music to help me sleep". It's such a pain...

While looking at my dimmed phone screen, a message popped up at the top.  It said, "You're probably not awake this early, but hey there." It was from that guy I met "technically" yesterday, but whatever. The least I can't do is to say what's going on with him tonight.

Rider-
You're probably not awake this early, but hey there

Ink-
No, I'm awake right now, what's up?

Rider-
Wow, didn't expect you to be awake rn- I'm good tho, you?

Ink-
I'm good too :P

Rider-
So, why aren't you sleeping, scared of the dark or something? >_>

Ink-
Nah- just not really tired I guess, it's weird, how about you?

Rider-
Just thinking about stuff, too much on my mind rn to sleep

Ink-
Dang tough, that sucks...

Rider-
Yeah, I know dude, you didn't need to point it out like that

Ink-
Heh, sorry didn't mean to poke at your masculinity for a second

Rider-
>:(

Ink-
Come on, don't be mad at me, it was a joke

Rider-
Tch, whatever...
------------------------------------------------------------
I texted him and talked about tons of random things, it was fun. We were finally getting to know each other. I guess make new friends isn't so bad. It was about 3:15 when Rider, I assume, fell asleep. I told him goodnight, before putting my phone on the night stand, so it can charge. Finally, I was so worn out that I fell asleep after doing that. It was peacefully.

.•°The next morning°•.

At around 10:04, I woke up rays of sunshine going through my window and hitting my face. I sat up, trying to fix my hair before doing anything else. I sigh and stand up to tidy myself up a bit. Brushing my teeth, put on fresh clothes, eat something, that kind of stuff. When I walked into the kitchen, I saw one of my older sisters, sitting on the counter-top, it was Ash. "Good morning dork, how was sleeping in?" She asked me. I responded with an awkward smile and thumbs up, and went to make a quick sandwich.

"Mom and dad went to a friend's birthday party, so it's just the 3 of us for a few hours. Oh! Also Sammy is just at her job right now, but she'll get off a 12. So it's 2 of us actually..." Ash told me, as she pat my head. "Thanks for the info..." I groaned and pushed her hand way. Ash snickered a little, got of the counter and went to her room, leaving me with my sandwich.

When I was finished eating, I went to check my phone, only to see I was texting rider for almost 2 hours, "weird." I thought to myself. I try to ignore that thought and try to relax a little. There wasn't really many stuff to do and I couldn't call my other friends, they were too busy with their own things, so I laid around, and watched some TV. Nothing interesting was on at the moment, so the news was the only option.

Off the Hook just doing what they do best, announce the stages for turf war, ranked and league. I wasn't even paying too much attention, it's not like I'm battling at all today. Yet, I still sat and listened, listening is something I'm really good at, not like talking or even explaining my emotions. I started to zone out for a second, getting lost in my mind and my thoughts.

I was quickly interrupted by a buzzing sound, it was my phone in my pocket. I pulled it out to see that Rider was calling. "What the..?" I whispered to myself. I hesitated to answer, but I reluctantly pick up anyway. "Hey there Ink, did you get any sleep?" Rider questioned as soon as I picked up. "surprisingly, yeah, I did, anyways, what ya calling for?" I said to him.

He took a breath and said  "No reason, I just wanted to know if you wanted to do something together, I'm not really busy today so..." He trailed off. I smiled and said " yeah, sure, why not? Where do you wanna go?". We both agree to go to the Shoal to play some of the arcade games there at around 4:00. "Okay, alright see you there, bye Rider" I hung up and breathe in.

Things are getting better.
