Ink's POV
I took a breath and went towards my room and collapsed onto my bed. Exhausted from training, but it felt fun. But I couldn't stop thinking about what Rose said earlier. Could we have met in the past? "Maybe, I should probably give Rider a call..." I thought to myself, I'm not sure why but, I feel like I need to call him, I feel like he would know something.
I dial his phone number and let it ring. It rang longer than usual. Was he busy, sleeping, just not in the mood to talk? Ah, now I'm just paranoid. The phone was picked up, but it was answered by something I would have never ever expected. "HELLO THERE!!!" A loud shout coming out of a young girl.
"Wha-?! You're not Rider! What's going on here?!" I was caught off guard at this suprise guest. I can hear the young girl giggle, it sounded like she was no older than 8. "Well, I thought it would be funny to see what's on my boring brother's phone! And here we are, I'm Arrow by the way!" She said in-between heavy breaths.
Rider never told me he had a younger sister, yet she reminds me of myself when I was younger. Spunky, rebellious, adventureous, ect. Before Arrow and I can exchange any more words, I can hear Rider pick up his sister. "Heyyyyy!! Put me downnnnn!!!" Arrow complained while laughing on the other side of the call.
The remaining of the conversation was a combination of incoherent arguing, yelling and laughing between the two siblings. I couldn't help but smile a little, being the younger sibling in my family, I can visualize the annoying, but fun relationship between Rider and his sister. "Ah- Sorry about that. My little brat of a sister decided to be a nuisance for the evening..." I finally hear Rider say.
I can hear Arrow whine from the name calling, but I know it's just harmless fun. "No, no, no, don't worry it's completely fine. I think your sister is quite endearing and entertaining!!" I admit to him. I hear Arrow obnoxiously laugh before being pushed away.
"Why did you never tell me you had a sister?!" I finally get to question Rider. In his defense, I never told him I'd I had siblings. Well, he was definitely right there, I won't blame him. Rider sighed and spoke again, "Well, now you've met her, what do you think?"
I told him that I was kinda caught off guard with his younger sister, but pleasantly surprised. It kinda sparked up into a whole conversation about our families, some stories or facts about them, and how we lived our early lifes. It was a nice chat we had. What was I even calling for again?
...
OH RIGHT, I WANTED TO ASK HIM ABOUT SOMETHING CRAPCRAPCRAP—
Rider's POV
"Well it was nice chatting for a bit, we'll talk later, m'kay-?" I tried to say, however, I was cut off by Ink's panicked voice telling me to wait a minute. I sighed and waited for her to say something. She cleared her throat awkwardly, and started speaking again. "I kinda had a question on my mind for a while, and I wanted to see if you felt the same way about it. Do you think we've met before?" She asked me.
I think for a moment, it is pretty weird that we do get along pretty well, but what are the chances that we have seen each other in the past before. "I dunno, but it's possible... maybe this is a mystery for another day." I answered.
"Ha ha, yeah, a mystery for another day..." I hear Ink repeat under her breath. We sat in silence for a minute or so, really just thinking. "We'll talk later alright?" I finally told Ink to break the awkward silence. We said goodbye to each other and hung up my phone. I placed the phone on my night stand and rolled over on my bed.
I remember about the photos in the photo album, all the ones where I was with her at some point, but I started thinking too hard again and the area around my eye started hurting again. I hate that when it happens. I deeply sighed and stared at the ceiling for a while.
