Chapter 4
The minute I step out I almost lose my balance. The sudden change in light blinds me, it is oddly brighter on the outside even though it is night time. The surprisingly big moon shines brightly, outshining all the other objects in its surrounding with its beauty. The stars twinkled at a distance from the moon. It was the most beautiful place that I've ever seen or at least till what I remember. Trees that were in many colours other than green.  What I saw was nothing compared to what I thought.

"Looking at the moon?" Lucas asked casually, looking at me, observing me.

"Yeah, but can I ask you a question?" I reply with slight awkwardness as my brain tries to understand the reasons to the blunder I was witnessing.

"Sure, go ahead."

"You see, I know you are proud of the place you live in and all of the patriotism is just bubbling off of you but honestly... no offense though, nothing here really is right. The trees are multicolored and of odd shapes, but that all beautiful, seriously don't get me wrong on that. And I totally get that they are your source of life-enriching herbs. But a blue moon? Why that? What herbal importance could it possibly offer?" I say, my eyes completely fixated onto the bright moon.

"About that-" He sighs, sitting down. He looks at my hand for a second before lightly tugging at it, indicating to sit down too.

"First, you need to know that this city is not stable, it keeps moving from one city to another. All our books from the past had been buried somewhere on this earth years ago and we might have visited that place but we shall just never know. So we do not know much about ourselves."

"For a really long time we believed that we were alone and the world was a very small place but that was until a guy named Marcus Ginuseren -- "

"Whoa hold on a second, Marcus who?"

"Ginuseren" He repeats, his face indifferent to my surprise.

"Why do you have such normal first names but totally weird last names?"

"We do not have weird last names. Ginuseren is a very respected and great last name." I roll my eyes on hearing this.

"Now shut up and listen to me. Umm, where was I ..... Oh yeah, so Marcus accidentally went out of the city, no one knows how he did it. He was almost killed by strange moving things but he got lucky and somehow returned. That's how we got to know that there is a world like ours out there. We did try to go back there many times but it was really unsuccessful. Around twenty years ago, another person had gone out, no one knows who exactly it was but unfortunately, he or she never returned.

"Okay...." I say furrowing my eyebrows in confusion as to how all this was related to my question. People here never really talk to the point, just beat around the bush.

"But you still didn't answer my question, I asked you about the colour of the moon and you told me about the history of your city."

"An impatient kind aren't you! Would you let me complete, I wasn't done yet."

"Okay fine go ahead and please just get to the point!"

He starts to speak unaffected by what I said "yeah so when he went out.... I mean to your world, the moon he saw was blue so when he returned we made a blue moon. But we later got to know that the moon was white and not blue and that it appeared blue due to a volcanic eruption oh and by the way that's a huge stone which is called a mountain from which burning hot red colour liquid comes out and........"

"I know what a volcano is I AM from the outside world!" my voice sounds strange and I feel strange something about that memory makes me feel weird.

"Yeah, whatever. Come on we need to go" his expression turns serious.

"Okay, so the moon here is fake?" I figured that the people here loved informing things like reporters do. and also if I wanted to remain entertained the whole time, I would have to cheer this guy up.

"Yeah we don't have the sun or the moon or the stars, they're all made by us. We didn't have time to replace the blue moon with the white one." This place was really impressive when you could see it.

Among the trees, i could see really very big mansions. "Does everyone own a mansion here?" I ask Jason.  He chuckles.

"What's so funny?"

"Well these houses here are not mansions there are much bigger one towards the center of the city."

my mouth falls open. "Bigger than this??"

"Yes. you may shut your mouth now you wouldn't want bugs living in it" I didn't realize that my mouth was wide open until now. "By the way, no one says that anymore" I spat at him clearly showing that I was irritated.

He just rolled his eyes and gestured me to follow him. We stopped in front of another huge house which was entirely green and when I said entirely green I wasn't joking. From the walls to all the furniture was green. Talk about going green. There was a box kept next to the entrance of the house.

We moved towards it, immediately a small hole appears on the lid Lucas puts his hand into his pocket and brings out a really strange coin. it has a circle carved on it, it seemed pretty plain to me. Lucas places it on the palm of his right hand and covers it with the other. I see a bright glow emerge from his hands and when he removes his hand there are two coins on his palm instead of one.
