I shiver and I don't know if its because of the cold or the extreme emptiness of the room in which i lie in. It's pretty dark here and it's hard to know if my eyes are open or not. But somehow I feel safe in this isolated room. I run my hand over the things around me struggling to recognize something, for something to remember my past. There is a loud creaking sound and bright light gushes in as someone opens the door, it's a boy and for a second I think it is Jason but then on second thoughts this guy was too thin and a bit short to be Lucas. I slump back on to the bed.
"How are you feeling now? He asks moving his hand through his dirty blonde hair.
"Like I just love fainting every day, luckily I don't fall on my face." I say lazily.
He laughs. "Well that's something I thought I'll never hear, but I guess there are first times for everything."
"Well I've been fainting a lot for the past few days. Lucas also tells me its one of the reasons he brought me to this centre. By the way where am I?"
"You're still at the trainees office but in the....... What do you call it hopsitil?"
"Umm you mean hospital?" The word feels strange in my mouth, almost bitter.
"Yeah that." He says Sounding confused on how what I told was any different than how he said it.
"Im Richard by the way. You're Alyssa right?"
"Yeah"
"Well Lucas asked me to tell you to meet him at five pm today. He's going to train you."
"Okay."
"Won't you ask how you got here?" he doesn't even wait for my reply and says. "Well since you are not trained a little use of power tired you out which caused you to pass out. The demon was about to kill you when Lucas came just in time and stopped him from doing so and yeah the girl you tried to save is safe. I got to get going or I'll be late for my favorite time of the day."
"And whats that?"
"Lunch!"
I laugh "really? Lunch is your favorite time of the day?"
"Why does that surprise you?
"Well you don't look much like an eating person.... You're so skinny."
"Yup that's a mystery to me too. Okay bye got to go." He turned around to leave and thankfully left the door open.
"Bye." I lie back down and put my hand under the pillow, my hand touches something below it. I take it out and see that it's a note.
'Remember to come to the training room sharp at five o clock. And don't faint on the way ;D.
-Luke'
I roll my eyes on reading the message and look for a clock. I see on hanging on the wall behind me I prop myself up on my elbow to see the time. 3:05, I have a plenty of time to get ready but I also have nothing else to do so I might as well just get ready.
I step in to the shower and set the water on warm. I let the warm water flow on me for a while and it definitely relaxed my body. I come out with a giant towel around me, going all the way to the floor from the top of my shoulders. it's not only large but really heavy too.
I just have no clue of why these people have so weird things. I wrap it around me I felt like I was trying to wrap a really heavy carpet around me. It was a huge struggle to walk back into the room. I had to hop half the way then waddle my way till I was standing next to my bed. There were some clothes already kept for me I pick them up and think of going back to the washroom and wearing the clothes but then walking all the way to the washroom looked even more difficult and tiring. I look around me for something huge, like a stick.
Beside the bed I see an umbrella. I grab the umbrella and use it to close the door. the door was shut but not locked so pretty much anyone could enter any minute. I quickly wore the top and the pants which covered my legs till my ankles. The top is a little tight for me but it was breathable . I look into the mirror beside the bed, the black colour of the clothes really do makes me look nice. 4:45, "I'd better get going or I'll be late because who knows Lucas could be one of those people who are particular about time." I say to myself. Grabbing a water bottle I get out the room.
