and I were discussing upcoming plans for the institute. My grandma was busy hosting trials and a bunch of shit.

"We'd have to reschedule to next week or Wednesday of that week" I tell Will while looking at the schedule. His faces contorts into one of thought.

"Wednesday is too early no?" He questions. I shake my head, "I'm doing the reports and statistics. It'll be finished late afternoon Tuesday right before your 4pm meeting with the iron sisters"

"Do Wednesday. We have grandmas birthday and a couple missions next week" he informs as I write it down on a planner.

A knock is heard on the door and jace comes in. "We're going on a mission..."

Jace is cut off by Will. "Did you get approval? Or is this another sanctioned mission?"

"Whoa!" I say stopping him. "Don't be salty Will."

I look over at Jace who has a scowl on his face. Will speaks back while preparing to leave.

"You know what? Fine. If I'm too salty then you handle this Ally." Will says while storming off.

"I always do the talking! You stupid baboon!" I yell. I hear Will yell in protest but I don't hear him.

Jace looks at me and raises an eyebrow. "Someone had to be the social butterfly" I say shrugging. "You know Will might be a bit dramatic but he's right. This is a mission that's approved right?"

"Would it matter if it was?" Jace scoffs. I roll my eyes and give him a blank stare "it's why I asked dumbass"

"It would be inconvenient for you. Especially, since you kinda already fucked up" I inform. Jace is busy going over the words I just spoke. "Plus, if this mission gets the claves approval, it reflects the influence you have over your control"

"I'll just tell Alec later" he decides. My lips form a straight. "Oh right my soon to be husband."

"I thought he was your boyfriend?" Jace says amused. I act surprised, "we're going to bora bora for our honeymoon."

"Welp, i have to go find Will before he punches a wall or something. Just so you know, I don't condone this mission" I reply pointing at him strictly while making my way out. I lean against the door. "But im totally call away if you need this pretty face" I reply pointing at my face.

"Thanks!" Jace says amused while I walk out the door. I walk over to the main control center. I notice Alec is staring the screen intently.

"Hey, babe" I say while placing myself right beside him. He moves away slightly. "Don't call me that" he says not taking his eyes off the screen.

"What? do you prefer baby?" I reply smirking. He scoffs, "I'd prefer you'd leave."

"That's not a very cute nickname" I say a bit disappointed and frowning. "So, does Jace just call the shots around here?"

"I do" he replies quickly. My mouth forms an oh expression. "That's hard to believe considering you never call any orders"

His head snaps toward me. "I make orders and run this place"

"Yeah, sure" I say sarcastically. "On jaces behalf right?"

"Would you stop? Your irritating" he says avoiding me. I sigh giving up. "You know, one day when we have kids. We should talk about our feelings more"

"Oh so never? Glad we agree" he says sarcastically. "What's your deal anyway. Don't you follow William like a lost puppy?"

"Ah, yes a taste of my own meds. I'm gonna answer this, take notes" I point to him. He rolls his eyes dramatically waiting for an answer.

"Will and I have depended on each other since we're were about 1-3 years old." I reply. "I Guess with Jace coming into the brotherly equation he thinks he'll feel change but he will so"

"He doesn't want to get far from you?" he asks raising an eyebrow. I shrug, "i don't thinks it's just me. It's both of us, we've always been a duo. He doesn't want our relationship to change including Grandmas"

"Relationship? What are you cheating on me?" He cracks a shitty joke. I glare at him slightly, "oh so now we're in a relationship?"

"You implied it" Alec comments. I stare at him,"Will is my Parabati AND my blood cousin"

Alec nods. "Makes sense but it doesn't at the same time."

"What does?" I ask confused. Alec stares back at me. "Out of everyone it makes sense you'd be his Parabati. You two count on each other. But let's face it you're nothing like a Herondale."

I brown furrow and I remain thoughful. "Is that why you put up with Jaces missions?" I ask. "And I am a Herondale"

"I do" he comments. "He might be wrong but I know my Parabati, he's doing what he thinks is right"

As I'm about to retort an alarm goes off. "Please tell me that's the fire alarm?" I question while grabbing a blade from my hip.

"Sorry to disappoint" Alec comments looking at the screen that's flashing red. "There's demonic activity near the bar about a block from here."

Im slightly confused to his statement. "That doesn't exactly make sense? The institute radiates about 1 mile radius of"

Alec cuts me off. "Angelic Rune energy. It's only warns them off of the perimeter, doesn't exactly stop them"

"Suit up" Alec says toward me.
