Surprise! Surprise!

Jimin looked back at Jungkook with a mischievous glint in his eyes and put both of his hands around his neck while laughing to show others that they were just dancing and having fun while slowly bringing his mouth next to Jungkook's ears and breathed an airy "Heyyy..". Jungkook's grip on his waist tightened and his smile got darker along with his eyes. Suddenly Jimin yelped when he was pulled slowly through the crowds by a single hand and then through the nearby washroom door that flashed with a fluorescent sign around the corner. Soon, they were making out at one of the dingy bad lit stalls.

"You know how difficult it was to control myself while you were dancing away with others like that. Were you doing it on purpose, baby? You like to rile me up like that, huh?" Jimin breathed out a small laugh in between the kisses and looked at Jungkook while resting his temple on his, "I was just being myself babe. Too bad your boyfriend is naturally irresistible."

Jungkook crinkled with laughter while pulling Jimin closer, "That he is, what a misfortune! It's downright distracting for me at work, how am I supposed to pretend to be a friend while he dances like sin?" They both shook with brief laughter and started kissing one more time.

They wrapped up their makeout session after a few minutes as they had to go back to their company party. While washing their hands at the sink, Jungkook suddenly asked Jimin, "Hey, What about Taehyung? He didn't show up, did he?"

Jimin jerked his hands in the air to get rid of excess water while putting out a tissue from the machine nearby. "Nope! He didn't." Jungkook smelled the dejected behaviour and squinted at his boyfriend while tilting his head on one side. Jimin sighed, "Can we not talk about this right now, I don't want to kill my buzz."

Both of them were coming out of the washroom when suddenly Jimin's phone pinged. Jimin hurriedly looked at it and sighed yet again looking at Jungkook, "Looks like my buzz is not here to stay. They found mistakes in the agreement, I'll have to go back." Jungkook shook his head in annoyance, "Not again, I have told you time and again to fire that mentee of yours. See, she managed to ruin our night once again!" Jimin didn't say anything in response, he just silently pulled out the attachment sent on the last mail which he was cc'd by his junior Sooa. It had been a full year of training he'd given her but clearly the girl was not cut out for this. Everyone in the new batch of freshers that year was competent but Sooa. Even when her grades were subpar, she was usually the one who commited the most grave errors. It had been only two weeks ago when Jungkook and Jimin were out for a dinner and had planned a great night afterwards when Seokjin had called Jimin, shouting at him about a mail gone wrong to one of the clients. They were going to pull back the contract but Jimin rushed back to the office and fixed it with an impromptu meeting and his impeccable social and communication skills. Jungkook on knowing what went down, found out that it was Sooa who sent the wrong mail and Jimin took the fall because he felt responsible for her. He asked Jimin to fire her as it was not the first time she'd done it. But Jimin being Jimin, knew Sooa personally, had met her family and didn't want to fire her out of anger.

Jungkook saw Jimin silently looking at the email and lovingly touched his elbow, "Let me take you to the office, you fix it and send them the contract once again. I'll wait for you and then we'll go back home together." Jimin smiled and nodded. They both went back to the dance floor where everybody was drunk dancing by now. They told their friends that they'd be leaving early and Jungkook was Jimin's ride for the night. Yoongi was looking at Jimin like he knew they were hiding something but the pair didn't want to ruin anyone's mood by telling them about the mayhem at work at this late hour, so they said their goodbyes.

They reached the office building parking in Jungkook's car in record time because there was no traffic and Jimin immediately jumped out. Jungkook was talking to his mom and waved at Jimin when he mouthed "I'll be back" and rushed to the elevator shed. Jimin reached his floor and punched in his card and entered his office area when he saw the lights were on but there was no one around. Nobody actually worked at night in the office unless they were slammed with work and had to work overtime. Jimin assumed no one was around and immediately went to his station when he heard the sound of a cup being kept down on a desk. He was now certain someone was here. He got up and checked around because he was not a fan of surprises and suspense. He always wanted to know what was going on. He realised that maybe the sound came from one of the conference rooms. He slowly went to the nearest one and opened it without making a sound. He let out a huge sigh when he saw Taehyung out of all the people sitting there, busy with two laptops working on something.

He smiled, he knew Taehyung was working late but didn't expect him to work at this hour, it was 1 AM. His friend was always the weird one, the issue wasn't supposed to take this long to fix. He was sure his friend was probably now completing something that could have been done the next day but Taehyung was always like that. He also realised that Taehyung had not noticed his presence and decided to scare him off by creeping up to him and keeping his hand over his eyes. But as soon as he got closer, he couldn't help but look at the laptop screens. Some contracts were being copied in bulk. And there was a bank's website open on another screen!
