What is this?

"Tae, what the hell!" Jimin yelled without thinking. It didn't matter how grave the situation was, Taehyung was his friend. He could always confront him. Taehyung on the other hand jerked his head and turned to look at him shocked, but then composed himself while standing up. "Jimin! What are you doing here?"

"No! I'm the one asking questions here. What the hell is this, Tae? Why are you copying such high budget contracts? How do you have access to these?" Jimin squinted at the screens even when Taehyung was blocking him. "Oh god, isn't this what Seokjin and Jungkook were working on?" Jimin said in a worried tone as he pushed him to sit himself down on Taehyung's chair, and started scrolling through the list of files being copied. Tehyung pulled Jimin to his direction making him stand up facing him "Jimin, don't! This is not that and it's my personal business. So please...., for the love of god, STAY OUT OF IT!"

Jimin shrank a bit focussing only on Taehyung now. He never spoke to him like that. Maybe one time he did, when they fought last year over Jimin's ex and Jimin had that coming.
There was a momentary pause while both of them heatedly stared at each other. Taehyung could see Jimin was taken aback and maybe a bit hurt, and he breathed heavily. "Jimin. I'm sorry but what are you doing here, seriously?"

Jimin came out of his reverie when he saw Taehyung had calmed down and suddenly he realised where they were. "Don't "sorry" me! I'm not kidding Kim Taehyung, what is this mess you are in? Why are you copying these contracts? Is this even legal? Is that why you are here in the middle of the night?"

"God Jimin! Don't be so dramatic! As I said, this doesn't concern you. So stop being nosy. Why don't you just rush through whatever task you had to do here, and run back to your hot boyfriend's place? So that other people can live their lives the way they want."

Jimin did not know why his eyes suddenly sting. Firstly, he was shocked to find his best friend doing something probably illegal, he might be legally punished for it. And secondly here his dear friend was, taunting him about his own love life like he was not already guilty about not paying attention to his friend's situation in the first place.

Taehyung in the meantime got time to close up the suspicious windows on his laptop when Jimin slapped his hand from aside and they were basically on the verge of physically fighting. "Jimin, forget about this, okay." Jimin immediately snatched the laptop and Taehyung could have snatched it back but Jimin was not having it.

"Yes, let's undo all this nonsense and forget about this." Jimin started deleting the copied files.

Taehyung couldn't hold back anymore. "Jimin, STOP IT! Don't you get it? THIS IS MY BUSINESS. STAY.OUT.OF.IT!" Then he snatched back the laptop from his stunned friend.

At the same time, Jimin's phone buzzed. Jimin jerked and saw who was calling. "Shit, Jungkook is waiting for me". Immediately Jimin realised that Taehyung tensed more, he shouldn't have said that out loud. Taehyung's face went blank.

"Of course! As I said, you can go now. Enough concerns shown! You'll get the BFF of the month trophy for this month as well. Yay! Now go."

Jimin contemplated his next step. He decided what he wanted to do and called back Jungkook, which he picked on the first ring. "Hey. What's the hangup? Should I come up? Do you need help?"

"No, umm Jungkook. I have something important to do. I'll see you in the morning."

There was a pause on Jungkook's end before his next words. "I'm coming!"
