Jimin was sharing his music preferences with Jungkook while entering the elevator and just when he pressed the ground floor button, Jungkook bent forward and pressed the basement parking lot's button. Jimin stopped talking and looked at him with wonder. Jungkook sniggered.

"Jimin-shi, what's so surprising? Can't I have my own car?"

"That's not- I'm not." Jimin scratched his neck. "No, umm actually you're so young so it's ho- I mean 'nice' that you have a vehicle. I usually take public transport or a cab, including my friends. Not a fan of cars personally. So, I was just pleasantly surprised, that's all."

"Hmm, well, I know for a fact Seokjin hyung has a car so does Namjoon hyung, aren't they your friends?"

"Umm you are right, they are my friends as well. Now that I remember, even Hobi hyung has a car. Wow! I'm so oblivious, I just care about the people I commute with. Hey, do not tell any of them I forgot about them okay. They will kill me."

Jungkook laughed, shaking his head. "Wow, people are actually funny here. I thought Seokjin hyung was an exception. But look at you, so cute and funny"

"Umm, y-you think I'm cute?" Jimin gaped shyly..

"Yeah, sure why not. You are cute and as you said I'm hot, we'll call it even, yeah?"

Jimin widened his eyes and turned to look at the elevator door. He could hear Jungkook chuckling behind.

After Jimin acted all professional throughout the ride hoping to clear the dirt he started. He didn't want to come out as someone who flirts with the new guy on his first day. Although that went useless when he got stuck opening his seatbelt while Jungkook opened the car door for him outside the club. Ultimately, Jungkook said, "let me help you" and bent over Jimin's seat, sorting out the belt hook leaving Jimin all flustered by the proximity. Jungkook looked unfazed and unhooked the belt quickly, holding the car door once again for Jimin to come out, smiling.

Karaoke was fun, Jimin sang unusually high and that surprised everyone around them including Jungkook. Jimin always enjoyed the surprise element he had when performing. But he was even more surprised when Jungkook sang a pop song with such grace and without a waiver in his voice while hitting all high notes with precision, and that too after having two drinks. In short, both of them were impressed by each other by the end of the night.

"Tae, Jungkook is so talented I tell you!"

"Oh so now he's Jungkook!" Taehyung said suggestively as he was doing his night time routine. Taehyung was so tired when Jimin showed up at his door at midnight, but he didn't have the heart to deny his bff when he was so excited to tell him about his karaoke night.

"Hey, don't you wiggle your eyebrows there, even you can't deny he is hot! And so chivalrous, oh my god. How can someone be everything? And he asked me to call him Jungkook only, which is a given because he is younger than us. Although we ended up teasing each other by the end, so I still call him 'Jungkook-shi', isn't that hilarious?"

Taehyung sniggered "Seems like someone is smitten Jimin-ah. I would advise you to take it slow, that's all."

"Oh Tae, it's nothing. He is a colleague. I wouldn't prefer doing it with coworkers. You know how emotional I get, next thing you'll know I'll be crying at work, it will for sure get messy and I value my job too much. So, don't worry, It's just all fun and innocent flirting at most."

Jimin and Jungkook made it a habit to go to Karaoke night every once in a while. Taehyung joined them once and they drank and sang together. That was the first time Taehyung interacted with Jungkook outside of work. It was pleasant for what Jimin could tell. Jimin asked Taehyung how he felt the next day.
