What's goin' on?

Jungkook was not born yesterday, he knew Jimin was hiding something. But he didn't want to push him. He had been in a relationship before, with his college friend Yugeom who used to lie a lot. They were great together but he often caught him lying over worthless things like class timings, his whereabouts and what not. Yugeom wasn't even cheating but ultimately they broke up, because his habit irked Jungkook way too much. He was a straightforward person who spoke only when required and he didn't enjoy the pretence and manipulations people usually do in their daily life to just sound sweet on the face.

That's what he liked about Jimin. Jimin, although knew how to talk his way around, never did it with him or their close friends. He only did it professionally otherwise he was like a child. They always spoke their mind bluntly right from the first time they got together.

"Why are you so down today?"
"It's nothing Kook-ah"

"Hey, it's not nothing. You came with a sour mood, I had just cheered you up with chicken and beer. Then we just had the most mindblowing sex ever and now we are back to square one. What's wrong? You didn't enjoy it?"

"No, are you kidding? It was the best one for me too, just like yesterday. It's just, it got me thinking."

"About what?"

"Hmm, okay here goes nothing. Umm, did I seem easy to you when you asked me out?"

"What?"

"You know how I am so reckless and into fun sometimes. Did that come out to you as someone who sleeps around and is not very serious about love?"

"Whoa Jimin! What's got you thinking like that?"

"Tch.. nothing. Leave it, it's silly."

"Hey! Look at me... You know what I thought about you when I met you the first time? You were so adorable and affectionate towards everyone around. I felt fortunate when you agreed to go out with me, I felt happy and lucky that I would get that insane amount of love you so casually give out to your closed ones. I can never give back the amount of care you give me Jimin. You are not easy, you are precious, they are not making people like you anymore"

Jimin smacked his shoulder giggling. "Stop it!"

They always had fun, they clicked. They had an honest relationship and Jimin was like an open book to him, until now. But if Jimin went to such great lengths to make sure Jungkook leaves him alone for a night, he totally would. Maybe Yoongi hyung really had something going on. He can give his boyfriend some space. Although his patience ran thin when he tried calling Jimin the next morning and there was no answer. What was going on? He thought he would confront him at work. He rushed to the office only to find Jimin was on leave. Next thing he was at Yoongi's desk. Yoongi looked at Jungkook and immediately knew this was about Jimin and his mystery night out.

"Yo Jungkook, what's up? I'm not listening to anything so early in the morning."

"Hyung, umm have you seen Jimin today?"

Now Yoongi didn't want to involve himself in the mess. So he decided to be vague. "Why? Did he not complete yesterday's agreement on time? Even if he didn't, cut the boy some slack, Jungkook. He must be hung over from last night. We all had too much to drink. He'll complete it today."

"Well, he won't as he is on leave."

"So, ask Sooa or Taehyung. They'll handle it, yeah?"

"Yes hyung, you are right."

"I'm always right. Now, let the boy rest and also leave me alone to wake up properly." Jungkook couldn't help but read more in Yoongi's lines, clearly Yoongi hinted that he should let Jimin be. Jimin had said Yoongi was not okay but maybe Jimin was not. Seriously, what was going on?

He couldn't help but make his last stop. Taehyung, as always, ignored his presence until he tapped on his desk.

"Yes Jungkook. Did you need something?" Kim Taehyung, professional as always.

"Yeah Taehyung. Is Jimin all right? I got the mail that he is on leave today."

"Sorry, I don't know."

"Well, did you see him this morning?"

"I did. He didn't tell me he was on leave."

"Did he seem okay?"

"If you want to know if he is ill or something, I can't help you. Had I known he was taking a leave, I would have asked him or observed how he seemed but I didn't know that when I met him. So I don't know."

"Thanks Taehyung" Helpful as ever.

It was lunchtime and Jungkook was still restless until Seokjin found him in one of the conference rooms. "So your boyfriend is on leave and you are out of order?"

"Yep! Eh.. wha-what?"

Seokjin rolled his eyes. "Seriously, do you know how old I am? Oh wait, you do know. You remind me everyday."

"Ok so you know?"

"Duh! You always tell me about your 'you-don't-know-him' boyfriend and I could already tell it's Park Jimin. Have you seen your eyes when you see him? I swear I can see red hearts in them instead of the white thingy. You guys should try harder because some people have common sense, Kook-ah"

Jungkook groaned. Jimin would be mad at him if he knew Seokjin knew about them. He would totally blame it on him because he is close to Jin. "Ah hyung, please don't tell Jimin you know. I'll tell him first."

"Yeah yeah, like I'm dying to tease Park Jimin. Wait, that'd be fun actually. I'll get good expressions out of him! I'll tease him when he's sitting on a chair, he'll fall down for sure. LOL, tell him sooner."

"You done?"

"Yep, now out with it? What has taken away all your energy that you are flopping on the confroom desk out of all places?"

"Umm I think he is hiding something from me. He is not taking my calls and I'm pretty sure he lied to me last night to get out of our night plans"

"Eww, please keep your night plans out of this discussion"

"Hyung, please. I don't know what to do. He never does this."

"Jimin is, well how should I say it so it least insults your boyfriend? Hmm, he is accommodating and flexible in his thoughts, you get me? He is open minded so he over thinks a lot. I'm pretty sure something must be bothering him and he is brooding over it. Let's just hope he comes out of it unscathed."

"Okay, so you think I should wait till the end of the day to show up at his door?"

"You can go now even, but I was looking for you for something urgent. That agreement which Sooa sent yesterday is still not fixed. Taehyung is busy, Jimin and Dahyun are not here and Sooa is well, Sooa. So, can you sit with her and fix it? It would only take an hour max. Then you can visit Jimin."

"Sure hyung"

After sending out the agreement, Jungkook tried Jimin once again and still he didn't answer. But then he did receive a text message from him.

Jimin: Hey. Sorry I was sleeping

Jungkook: You worried me, I'm coming to see you in some time.

Jimin: Don't. I need some more rest, Kook. Please. I'll see you tomorrow.

Jungkook held his phone for a very long time. Something is wrong and Jimin is not telling him. What is going on?
