My head throbbed as I opened my eyes. I was tied to a pole, someone standing in front of me. I tilted my head at the boy. "Ekko I'm not an idiot I know its you." Ekko took off the mask, he had a straight face. "Can I trust Vi?" My eyebrows furrowed. "Of course you can, it's Vi." "People change-" "She hasn't changed dork, untie me." Ekko did as told.

The other firelights went to go grab who I'm assuming was Vi. I stood in the room, sitting in the corner. Ekko's friend took the bag off her head as Ekko sat on a couch. "You shy or just ugly?" I stood up from where I was sitting and skipped over. "He's both." I chuckled. "Iris?" "The one and only baby."

Ekko stood up and took his mask off. "You look good for a dead girl." I elbowed him. "Hey, are you stealing my lady." He rolled his eyes and smiled. "Ekko?" Vi asked, her face filled with confusion. "What do you know about this?" He asked, opening a capsule with a blue stone. "Nothing, what the hell is this about?"

Ekko stood tall, words rolled off his tongue with his pretty voice. I'm still gay, don't worry. "What were you doing with Jinx?" "Ekko her name-" "Her name is Powder, and I just found her before you and your goons showed up. It's me, Vi. Same person who used to take you down to the junk heap and hose you down when you were covered in grease."

"That was a long time ago." Ekko stated, sad. "People change." Vi scoffed. "Yeah, I'm getting that." "Are you working for Silco?" "Ekko what the fuck-" "Fuck. You." I smiled to myself. "Could I?" Vi furrowed her eyebrows. "Can you what?" "Fuck-" I was cut off by Ekko's hand covering my mouth. I narrowed my eyes at the boy.

"I thought you were dead, Vi! Now you show up with your girlfriend and a Piltie?" Ekko rants. "Wait you were following us?" I asked. He nodded. "I put you on a job, had to make sure you didn't mess it up." Vi shook her head. "You were on a mission? For what?" "Relax, Ekko wanted me to spy on Caitlyn." Vi let out a breath.

"I just don't understand why you would come out swinging?" "Gee, I wonder who I learned that from." Ekko scoffed, I giggled. "Yeah well you should've learned more, you still punch like a little boy." "And you still block with your face." I stepped between them. "Relax killer."

"I remember when you didn't stand up to me." Vi walked forward dropping her chains, my face confused. She then hugged Ekko. "I missed you little man." Ekko shed a tear. "How long have you had those off?" "How long have you been whining?"

Ekko lead Vi and I to the tree. "Is that a real tree?" Vi asked. I elbowed her lightly. "As real as it gets." Ekko smiled. "When I first saw it, I knew this was the place. If a single seed could make it down here, so could we." "You built all this?" Vi asked. Ekko scoffed. "Not alone." 

I pointed at myself proudly. "I helped." "Oh please no you didn't-" "Yes I did-" "Bullshit!" "No bullshit!" "Very very big bullshit Iris." "You're bullshit!" Ekko grinned. "Oh I'm bullshit?" He shoved me, I shoved back. "Yeah, you are." I snickered. He started lightly slapping me in the face. "What the hell dude?" I tried to slap back but he dodged and kept slapping me. "Too slow." "Oh? Too slow? You wanna see whos too slow?" "Yeah I do." He challenged. "Vi is." Her head shot at me. "I'm what?-"

I lightly flicked Vi's face as I dragged Ekko to run. "Oh you little shit!" Vi started to chase us as we ran around screaming like children. I looked back to see Vi was right behind me. I quickly stopped and squatted, causing Vi to trip over me. I laughed hysterical clutching my stomach. I was laughing so hard I didn't notice her run up and pick me up. She hung me over her shoulder, I just continued to laugh.

"Alright." Ekko paused to laugh. "There's one more thing I need to show you," Vi nodded, keeping me over her shoulder as she followed Ekko. Ekko guided Vi over to a painting. We were all up there. "This is everyone we've lost. The price of our freedom. Some of it was enforcers, most was Silco. Your sister works for him not because she has to, but she wants to. I'm sorry but that's who she is now."

Vi let out a sigh as she looked at the painting of Powder. I decided to break the silence and speak up. "Didn't you like her Ekko?" I smirked, though no one could see. "Yeah I did, before she started talking to the guns."

I cleared my throat. "Hiya, Vi, sweetheart, are you gonna put me down? The blood is starting to rush to my head." She laughed. "Right, forgot you were there." "How do you forget that you're carrying a person?" "Cause you're very light." She said, putting me down. I crossed my arms putting a finger to my chin. "I could probably pick you up." Ekko let out a laugh. "You? Pick up Vi? You have fun with that, even I can't do that." Ekko admitted. "Yeah well you just suck dude." I giggled.

"So how am I picking you up? Bridal? Over shoulder?" "Just shut up and try." I crossed my arms once more. "You seem to have no faith in me." She chuckled. "Because I don't." I looked her up and down. "You don't look heavy." "See for your self."

I shrugged and walked up to her. "You want a piggy back ride?" She nodded with a stupid smile. Vi walked behind me has Ekko hid his smile in his hands. "Okay, ready?" Vi asked. I nodded. She jumped onto my back. I was able to hold her, but as I took a step I fumbled forward.

Ekko let out a huge laugh. As did Vi. I narrowed my eyes at them. "I hate you both." Ekko smiled. "You know you love us, especially Vi." He wiggled his eyebrows like a child. He stood up and started running away. "Come back here you bitch!" I yelled, giggling.

I caught up to Ekko and tackled him to the floor. I laid on top of him as I clutched my stomach from laughing. "I miss this." I admit. "Yeah, me too." Vi walked over with a smile, looking down at the two of us. "Are you stealing my lady?" She mocked, putting her hand on her chest dramatically. "Oh shut up." I laughed, standing up.

"Oh fuck, Caitlyn." I laughed so hard I practically wheezed, she's probably been sitting up there for hours. "Oh shit." Ekko laughed. Vi shook her head with a smile. "You two are such children." She took our arms and dragged us as we laughed, I heard a laugh eventually escape her lips which made me smile.
