Car, Car, CAR
It took a while for Vincent and his husband to get me to get discharged, but they eventually did and now we were handing off to their house. I felt God nervous and I wasn't sure if I wanted to go through this at all. My throat felt tight, my hands felt clammy, and I felt like I was going to burst any second now. I flinch hearing the car door lock and I hold back a choked sob as I look at Vincent, who was looking at me sweetly as if nothing was wrong. Then I look at Vincent's husband who moves his hand from the side of the door as he pulls the car over and shuts off the engine. I lean forward and hold back my bile.
'We need you to relax, Trixibella.' Vincent's husband says and I lost it. I kick the seat in front of me as I let out a sob.
'Why? WHY? WHYY?!' I scream at them both and they both look at each other before looking at me with observing stares. It was like two scientists watching a trapped mouse to see what it would do next. I kicked the seat in front of me once mre and Vincent looked like he was ready to pounce. I held myself back from kicking the seat once more and instead wrapped my arms around myself as I brought my knees to my chest and I rocked back and forth.
'We need you to calm down because we just want to ask you some questions that you can deny or confirm. We're not going to harm you.' Vincent puts his hand on my shoulder and I nod meekly, subdued. 'We'll start with a simple question, okay?' I nod my head once more before thinking and I pause.
'Uh, but I get to ask you guys questions too.' Vincent smiles at me as he nods his head like an excited pup, although I feel like he scolds me for such a comparison.
'Do you have siblings?' It was a simple, harmless, question, but it has my heart jumping everywhere in my chest.
'Yes. I have two. One is my twin and the other is my younger brother. My twin looked nothing like me while my brother kind of did, but none of us looked like our parents.' I gulped nervously as I didn't want to leave any information behind. I look down at my hands before taking a deep breath to calm myself and once I have I look Vincent in the eyes. 'Are you and that person married?' I ask quietly and Vincent lets out a boysterious laugh.
'That person has a name.' Vincent teases and I blush. 'But, no, we are not married. We are engaged though! My turn! Do you believe in the supernatural?' I pause and think about Vincent's question and I come to a conclusion.
'Yes, I do believe in the supernatural, but only because with such awful people in the world there has to be other beings besides humans.' I could tell Vincent wasn't completely happy with my answer, but he would have to deal with it. 'What's your fiancé's name?'
'His name is Nixian Lord Trampula. I only got engaged to him because he has 'lord' in his name.' I giggled at Vincent's proclamations as I could see Nixian rolling his eyes as he smiled. 'Anyway, do you think you have an older brother?'
The questions went on like this. Vincent's questions would be more conspiracy theories while mine were more mundane. But, I had fun neither or less as we got to know one another and it made the car ride even more bearable as I had learned it was a long car trip to wherever we were going.
