After walking for a while, I made it to the city of Las Vegas. I arrived a bit past midnight so I step up my tent and went to sleep.
Mornings are horrible when you're in the desert. You wake up in a pool of sweat with a hell hound laying on top of you. So instead of walking up like this I decide to go gambling and try to win enough money for a room.
I walked around the city and Epsilon was following me, but growling at someone across the street.
"What's wrong?" I say to her.
She has grown a lot these past couple of months. Compared to me her head is a little bit above waist. She continues growling, so I look across the street and see that she was growling at someone that seemed familiar. I cross the street and follow him for a bit. He turns into a casino amd sits down at the nearest poker table. I go to the restroom to manipulate my appearance so people will be to able see me. I walk out of the restroom and sit down at the table with him. We play a few a rounds in silence, until he starts talking to me.
"Why were you following me?" He asked me quietly.
"I wasn't following anybody. I've been in this casino all day." I reply to him just as quiet.
"Don't lie to me, I can see right through you're illusion." he says. He starts talking normally because the other man at our table left.
"What illusion?" I say some what nervously.
He starts laughing. " I can see what you are."
"You have a good eye." I say with a smile.
I get up from the table and he follows me. I go and cash in my winnings. I won a couple grand which is enough for me to get by for a bit.
"So treat me to dinner." he says with a big grin.
"Fine, but what's your name?" I ask him. He seems like a cool guy.
"Jason and your's?"
"Joseph"
"Well, Joseph, I saw you cheating at cards."
I was silent.
"It's fine, dude. I was too." Jason said Adam he pulled cards out of his sleeves.
We look at each other and starts laughing. We laughed for like five minutes until we heard some growling. Behind us was a huge, wolf and Epsilon.
"This is my wolf, Zeta." Jason says as walks over to comfort him.
"This is my hell hound, Epsilon." I tell him.
We send our pets away and go to the nearest restaurant, eat, and scare the living crap out of some couples walking together. We eventually part ways. I find Epsilon eating her prey and we go to the nearest hotel.
