"Is Pru nice?" the five-year-old asked looking through the window. The four of them were on their way to Miranda and Ben's place where they were going to meet with the rest of the crew.
"She's super nice" The brunette answered turning back to look at the girls while Maya kept her eyes on the road "She loves to play and to draw... just like you" she told the little blonde which made her smile
"We are here" Maya suddenly said.
The couple got off the car and helped the little girls get out the car as well. Carina noticed the eight-year-old was a little nervous. She was tugging on her sleeves while she looked down. The brunette kneeled down in front of the kid while Maya and Emma waited a couple of steps ahead
"You okay bella?" she asked gently lifting the girl's head up with one hand while she took one of the girl's hands with the other "You can tell me" she said encouraging the girl to talk
"I'm... just nervous" she said feeling a little embarrassed "a lot of people" she explained. The girls already knew the people from the station but they never saw them all together and the thought of how much people was going to be there today made the girl a little nervous
"That's okay" she said smiling "It's normal to be a little nervous" she comforted the girl "We are going to do this, we are going to go and say hi to everybody and if it gets too overwhelming you tell me and we'll go and have a little quiet time okay?" she explained but the girl still didn't look that sure "I promise" she said as Luna nodded slowly
As they entered the house, they were greeted by Miranda who immediately took charge of directing them to the backyard where everyone else was. They were instantly greeted by everyone present, who approached them almost automatically.
Luna felt a bit intimidated until she could spot Andy among the group of people sitting on one of the chairs near the table with a little girl in her lap. The girl did not like being with people that she did not know that well, but with Andy it was different. Since the accident at school the firefighter represented safety, she was safe and she knew she could trust her
"Well hello there" Andy said when she felt a little hand squeezing hers. Luna looked curious at the little girl that was now aware of the presence of the eight year old "This is Pru, can you say hi to Luna baby?" the woman said now towards the, now, four year old toddler
"Hi!" the toddler said excitedly "I Pru"
"Luna" the girl answered shyly
"Like the moon!" she said eagerly now looking at Andy to make sure what she said was right
"Yes, like the moon. You remembered, good job!" she praised as the girl let out a giggle which made Luna smile, she kind of remebered her of Emma... all giggly.
"Here you are" Maya said appearing behind her with Emma on her hip "I see you have met Pru" she pointed out and Luna nodded "Emma, this is Pru" the blonde said and Pru, at the mention of her name, waved. The five-year-old who until now had stayed in her mommy's arms wiggled her feet to go down and waved as she walked closer
"Want to go p'ay?" Pru asked being excited about her new friends asking her auntie to put her down. Emma and Luna both looked up to Maya who smiled nodding "Let's go" the toddler said starting to run towards the swings

While the kids were playing Emma started to feel a weird feeling in her stomach as she watched her sister with Pru. She didn't like it. Luna was being super protective over the four-year-old, it was just the way she was. She has always been a big sister so for her it wasn't something new, she did all the things that she was used to do with Emma
