"Are you ready girls?" the Italian asked as she entered her daughters' room.
Today was the big day. Two weeks had passed since the last meeting with the social worker. Both women were beginning to worry that there were problems regarding the adoption of the girls. However, those concerns were dispelled when they finally received a call from Kristen setting the day and time in which they would have to appear before a judge who would finalize the process by making it official.
"I'm ready" Luna quickly said looking at her mom from the bed as she waited for Emma to be ready. She was nicely dressed in black, wide-legged jeans and a white, long-sleeved sweater. Emma was dressed in grey jeans and a light pink sweater
"Can I wear this mamma?" the brunette heard the six-year-old ask as she showed her a light blue dress. She had asked her mamma if she could wear it for today the night before and her mom had told her that it was probably going to be too cold for it.
"Bella..." the woman said as she let out a sigh "It's still cold outside" she explained and the girl couldn't help the defeated expression that appeared on her face
"Okay..." she said letting the dress on it's place "Then I'm ready too" she whispered
"Let's go bambine" the brunette said making both girls start to walk towards the door
"There you are" Maya said when she saw her two daughters followed by her wife appeared through the hallway "Ready to go?" she asked and smiled when she received nods from both girls "Let's go then"

"Mommy?" Emma called as she go out of the car, making the blonde immediately look at her daughter waiting for her to continue "Are we getting adopted?" she asked.
Emma had been asking this since they told the girls they were finally, officialy starting the adoptiong process. She knew she loved her moms, and her moms loved her but she still needed that reassurence
"Yes" Maya answered smiling as she held the kid's hand to start walking towards the building in front of them "You are"
"You sure?" she asked not wanting to receive any more bad news like the last time they came here
"I promise" the blonde said and that was enough for the six-year-old. Her mommy never broke promises
A few steps behind, Carina walked with the nine-year-old by her side. Luna was a little nervous to say the least. This place didn't bring up any good memories and she was scared that this might not be the exception
"You okay bella?" the brunette asked as she noticed her daughter's gaze lost on her feet. The brunette only received a little nod from the girl which comfirmed that there was something wrong "You can tell me"
"What if something happens and I can't get adopted?" she said finally letting it out. She knew Emma was getting adopted for sure, everything was in place when it came to the younger girl but that was not the case when it came to her. Everytime something nice was going to happen in her life, something would appear on the way. There was always something
"Bambina, I promise there's is nothing that could stop your adoption right now" she said making the girl give her an insecure look "There is nothing that will stop this from happening today"
The girl decided to stay quiet and just nod as they kept walking. She needed to wait until that was an actual fact and not something her mother was saying just to comfort her
When they entered the building, they were immeiately greet by Kristen who was waiting for them
"They are calling us in" the social worker announced with a wide smile, guiding them to the courtroom "You ready girls?" she asked as she looked down to the two girls, receiving an excited smile from the little blonde and a nod from the older one "Let's go then"
