Hi, I just want to let you know that this is an extra that I have been thinking about for a while and I would love to know what you think. I'm not sure if I will keep it in the sequel because, well as Maya said, they would totally be outnumbered.

"Where's your sister?" and excited but nervous woman asked her oldest daughter as she paced around the room looking at her clock.

"Over here" the blonde said appearing from the hallway, with her phone on her hands as she walked towards them "Couldn't find it" she explained as she lifted her hand, shaking her phone a little

"You are still on time" the Italian said with a smile as she placed a little four-year-old on the ground, who didn't waste any minute before running towards his big sisters "You okay?" she asked in a low voice to her wife as she placed her hand on her back.

"Just nervous I guess" the woman answered releasing a sigh.

It had been a while since they had taken their last emergency placement. A two-year-old that had stayed with them for about two weeks. Then they decided to put their foster licenses on hold, realizing they might have a little too much on their plates. Having two teenagers and a toddler in the same house was already challenging on its own.

However, they had received a call at 3 in the morning from Kristen. She had a new case, a nine-year-old boy who needed a place to stay for the following months. They had taken him out of and extremely unsafe environment and just wanted to give him something safe and healthy. Kristen knew the DeLuca's were a good family, they had taken in hard cases and, although they hadn't been fostering for a while, she knew they were a good option.

Maya and Carina just couldn't say no, which brings us here. Since the call was so late at night, they couldn't really fix anything. They usually liked for the new family members to have a bit of a quiet place. The kids usually stayed at any of their uncles or aunts house for a few days while the newly arrived met the place they would be staying in.

"Someone's at the door" the youngest of the DeLuca's announced once he heard the doorbell going off.

"I'll go get it" Carina quickly said giving her wife a little smile before starting to walk "Hi Kristen... It's nice to see you" she said with clear excitement in her voice "Please come in" she told the woman and the boy that hid a little behind her, while she stepped to the side, making room for them to walk into the house "I'm sorry" the woman apologized when an excited dog came near them wiggling his tail "He just loves to meet new people"

"Ace" the oldest of the siblings called "down" she commanded causing for the dog to come closer to her before plopping down on the floor "Good boy" she praised only for her four-legged friend to hear.

"It's all right" the woman said looking down at the nine-year-old, smiling as soon as she noticed a little smile wanting to come out of the boy's face. This was a good start "I see you're all here" the woman commented as she looked to the family that looked at her expectantly. Suddenly, the woman looked back at the boy that tried as hard as he could to not drag any attention towards him, keeping his eyes on the ground and holding tightly to his bag "Mateo..." she called making the boy slowly lift his gaze towards her "Can you try and say hi?" she asked softly.

"Um... Hi" he said quietly, barely looking at them.

"This one's Mateo" Kristen commented breaking the silence that had filled the room "He's nine as you already know and he likes videogames, right?" she said receiving a shrug from the boy as a response.

"Hi Mateo, I'm Maya" the blonde intervened as she came a little closer, being the first one to speak "This is my wife Carina" she said causing for the brunette to interlock their hands "and those are our kids" she said looking back for a quick second causing for Mateo to look at them "Andrew, who we actually call Andrea" she introduced, making the boy direct his gaze to the toddler that clung to his sister's leg "Emma" whom at the mention of her name gave a little wave "and Luna" the girl the little boy was clinging to
