Inspired by MatryoshkaVerde's prompt.

Clang!

Another homerun by the fifth sextuplet, drawing an exclamation of joy from the uniformed brother while a bystander merely sat with a book nearly pressed to his face, his right leg crossed over the left while he tried to lean back against the metal bench behind him.

Clang!

For the seventh time, the metallic ring of the baseball bat sang out despite the wooden material it was made from.

Clang!

"Home run!" The fifth sextuplet shouted through his laughter.

"Haven't you done enough?" The bystander sighed out as he turned a page in his novel, briefly glancing up at the player.

"Never enough! I need to do a thousand more!"

"We'll miss dinner if you need to score that many."

Another page turn.

Clang!

"It's your fault for not wanting to be my bat weight."

"I refuse to submit to that kind of torture, Jyushimatsu. It's a miracle that Ichimatsu is able to withstand it."

Clang!

"You're just scared, Choromatsu," Jyushimatsu laughed out as he launched another ball up into the air before hitting it with the bat at full force.

Clang!

"Of course I am," The man gave another heavy sigh before lowering the book, "I'm going home. Don't do another thousand or Osomatsu will eat your food."

"Haha! Okay!"

Clang!

The repetitive sounds sent Choromatsu on his way, tucking the book underneath his arm as he moved past the baseball field, the sounds of his brother's laughter dying with the distance. Other sounds replaced it: skateboards grinding against metal poles before hitting the concrete, inflated balls slapping against the ground before shouts of dismay or happiness filled the silence between, shoes hitting the grassy fields while passing a soccer ball between them.

Choromatsu hated the park.

It wasn't because of anything that was going on, but he knew that his time would be better spent looking for a job or finding hints and tips to secure an interview.

His gaze lowered to the book cradled underneath his arm as a frown pulled at his lips.

It was just an excuse just like everything else that he had been trying to work towards.

Choromatsu loved being a NEET, but hated the public opinion that title held.

"Watch it!"

The warning made him look up before a basketball hit the ground where he was about to step, causing him to jump back in shock.

"Shit, I'm sorry!" The same voice called out, drawing his attention towards one of the caged basketball half-courts. A woman about his age had her fingers around some of the fence links while looking at him, her colored hues catching his attention before her unnatural hair color drew his intrigue.

Green. Her entire head of hair had been dyed various shades of green that somehow looked beautiful on her.

"...do you mind?" She called out.
