I waited patiently as the sunset sky began to darken from an orange to a deep blue color, a box of handmade chocolates tucked away safely in a bag hanging off my elbow as I pulled my phone from my purse.

7:13 pm. Almost two hours since the agreed meeting time.

I knew that he and his brothers were really busy and I had already sent a text to him for an updated time of arrival. There had been no response.

This wasn't the first time that he was this late to our date night. Heaving out a sigh, I sent another message to him before putting my phone away. I could just drop off the chocolates at their house and try again tomorrow. Shrugging my purse onto my left shoulder, I started to walk towards their home near the heart of the city, stifling a yawn as my heels clacked against the pavement.

Todomatsu was usually reliable when it came to our dates, but recently he seemed to be forgetting them or rescheduling right before the dates were supposed to start. I never wanted to pry into his personal life with his five identical brothers, but it did hurt that he never completely confided in me what was going on. Todomatsu always deflected my inquiries with questions about how my job was going, or promised that it wouldn't happen again.

I made my way towards their home, a sprawling mansion guarded day and night by tough-looking men. I was never allowed to get any closer than the front gate unless Todomatsu was with me, so I knew that I wasn't going to see him face-to-face today. Taking the bag off my arm and putting it on the guard shack counter, I told them that the box contained chocolates for Todomatsu and they needed to be delivered as soon as they could.

The guard gave an acknowledgement before I walked away, taking out my phone again and texting Todomatsu that I had dropped off the chocolates I'd promised him. Rounding the street corner to head to my apartment, I felt someone grab my wrist and pull it forward sharply, sending me crashing into someone's chest.

"Lookie here," A voice I didn't recognize harshly whispered in my ear, two arms wrapping around my waist and chest, "I think it's his girl--"

I didn't give him time to say anymore, jamming the heel of my pointed shoes into his toes before slamming my elbow into his face behind me. I stumbled forward as the man released me, the momentum turning into a full run as I headed back to the mansion not even a few blocks away. My head was yanked backwards as someone grabbed a fistful of my hair, a guttural laughter sounding out as I reached into my purse for my pocket knife.

"Oh no you don't," Both of my arms were grabbed by someone else, the purse pulled off of me by yet another person, "No tricks and this will go so much smoother."

"Get off me!" I screeched, hoping that the guards would hear me. I didn't know if they had security cameras around the premises, but I could only hope that someone was watching if there were. A sweaty bandanna was shoved into my mouth, wrapped around my head and tightened, cutting off my scream.

"Are you sure that they'll come for her?" With the groan in his voice, I recognized the guy I attacked.

"Positive," The guy holding my purse commented, rummaging through it before pulling out the pocket knife, "You heard what the Sakai's got away with when they took the yellow one's girl."

I paled.

They were talking about Todomatsu's older brother and his girlfriend, and the people that threatened him were less than kind about how they treated Homura. I was assured over and over that I didn't need to worry about it ever happening to me but here I was, being slung over a burly shoulder and carried like a sack to somewhere I didn't want to go. I tried kicking and squirming around, but the man carrying me gave a squeeze of his arm around my waist and I could only feel pain.
