Another Shade Of Love

Familiar stranger

"Why are you not ready yet?"

"Mom, I don't like boring universities. Sleeping and my studio is more fun than that."

"But it's your first day in the university. You should be excited. I'm sure you'll find something interesting there." Yoongi looked at his mother helplessly.

He can never ignore his mother's requests or orders. Yoongi and his mother only have each other. His father is missing for several years. They don't know if he's alive or not. They tried to find him for so many years. Then they lost hope and started to live life without him. But, in a small corner of Yoongi's heart, he wants to see his father again, just for once.

Although Yoongi is soft-hearted, he never shows his soft side to anyone, not even to his mother. He always tries to act like a tough, heartless, boring, and moody boy.

Thinking for quite 5 mins Yoongi finally got ready with an all-black outfit and a bucket hat (of course black). Slowly he was walking to his university.

On his way, he saw 2 boys jumping and teasing each other while walking. They looked like best friends. Yoongi thought if he has a best friend like them. His childhood was not like other normal boys. He did not have friends for his moody attitude. There was a girl who did care about him, wanted to be his friend. But he never talked to her. he just watched him from afar. To be honest, he liked the girl. but he was afraid that if he confessed to the girl might misunderstand him and might end up not paying attention to him. And Yoongi never saw the girl after their graduation.

Thinking about the girl, Yoongi suddenly bumped into someone. He snapped out to reality. With a bitter mood, he looked up to the person. For a moment he was taken aback. The face looked so familiar.

"Hey! Are you okay? I'm very sorry. My friend is a clown. So, I got distracted and bumped into you. Please don't mind."

Yoongi could not say anything and started walking as nothing happened.

"What a weird boy. Do you notice, Hobi?"

"Don't pay attention to any weird boy, Jin. They can be dangerous. You know that this world is not as you believe. Don't believe in anyone easily. Always stay with me. I can't take any risk." Hobi said resting his arm on the other's shoulder.

Jin laughed loudly at his friend's cuteness.

"Don't laugh. Uncle gave me the responsibility to keep an eye on you. Now, let's get going. We're gonna late on our first day." Hobi said faking anger. Of course, he can never be angry with his best friend.

# At the University

Jin and Hobi were looking like lost puppies in the huge hallway, finding their classroom. Suddenly a boy came to them with a bunny smile and a confident attitude.

"Are you guys lost? Don't worry, I'm lost too. This campus is huge so that these hallways. Let's go together. Teamwork makes the dream work, you know?" The boy said with a smile that no one can ignore.

Hobi frown and said, "Who are you? And we are not a team, for your kind information." He thought this boy is acting too friendly. He's not trustable at all. But his smile is cute and quite innocent?

Jin sensed Hobi's doubt and whispered to him, "you're looking like a horse is thought, you know. Don't mention, the ugliest horse. Don't look at him like he is a murderer or something.

The new boy suddenly said, "By the way, I'm Jungkook. You can call me anything you want. I have many nicknames."

"I'll call you Kookie, then." Jin cheerfully said. Hobi gave him a dead look.

"Wow! Great! From now on I'm your Kookie. And what's your beautiful name, Cutie?" A smiling Jungkook asked.

"I'm Jin and he's my best friend Hobi aka Hoseok." He pointed out Hobi.

"Hello Hobi, we can be friends too like me and Jin."

Hobi gave Kookie a deadly look and rejected his hand. "I'm not interested to befriend you. And when did Jin become your friend? Don't try to be so friendly with us. I'm warning you!"

"Hey! Why is Hobi that angry with me, Jin? I didn't know I stole his girlfriend or something."

Jin and Kookie started laughing loudly and Hobi frowned.

They finally found Jin and Hobi's classroom that happened to be Kookie's classroom too. There were already many students sitting and chatting. Those three took the last three sits with Jin in the middle (of course).

The professor encouraged them to introduce themselves. Classes were boring. Then launch break time came and they headed to the canteen area. Hobi's eagle eyes were on Kookie. Jin noticed that and pinched Hobi's hand.

"Don't act like my bodyguard, Hobi. I'm not a kid and he looks innocent. Try to be less dumb!"

The three were chatting occupying a table.

Then Jin noticed a familiar face coming towards them. It was the weird 'boy in black'.

The boy did not say anything just sit on the fourth chair of their table. There was an awkward silence.

Kookie broke the ice and asked sternly the boy, "Hey, You! Unmannered brat! You should first ask us and then grab the seat." This time Hobi agreed with Kookie. There was an awkward silence.

"I'm Yoongi. Can I take a seat here? There is no other vacant seat. Now, happy?" The short boy said with an unbothered face. Jin choked on his milkshake.

Kookie was about to tell something rude to Yoongi, but Jin warned him with his crooked finger and said, "It's okay Yoongi. You can sit with us. Nice to meet you again. Which department are you in? Don't you have friends?" Jin wanted to continue his questions, but Yoongi answered, "I don't have friends. I like spending my time alone. But nice to meet you too."

Yoongi thought, 'How can a talkative person like Jin be a friend of those two weird angry birds. They are so odd. Also, Jin is quite different from other boys in the canteen too. He is standing out from them with his cheerful cute smile and Pink-blue outfit.... Wait, cute! What am I even thinking! By the way, why is he looking so familiar to me?!'

He was snapped out from his thought when Jin placed his hand on Yoongi's shoulder and said, "We can be friends though. You're an interesting character."

'Interesting? You're an interesting character, Jin, not me.' Yoongi thought. He remembers his mother's words that he'll find something interesting in Uni. And here he got an interesting thing, no, an interesting person.

"Okay! I'll be your friend. But don't expect too much from me. I'm not like you." He said looking at Jin.

Jin was about to say something, but Hobi and Kookie busted out in unison, "Of course, you're not like Jin!" those two were shocked as well as Jin that they agreed to each other. Jin laughed loudly... (Windshield laugh sound effect!)

"Thanks to Yoongi, these two idiots are getting close." Said Jin.

"We are not getting close, not even an inch!" Again, Hobi and Kookie said it together. Then they also started laughing.

'You are an interesting character, Jin. And those two also.' Thought Yoongi, munching on his burger.
