(Earlier that day)
"I have to do this. I have to face them. I know that a storm is waiting for me, but I have to do this. I have to fix what was once shattered by me", Mr. Min said to himself and left Jung's house. He took a cab to the house which would be his, not his, theirs. He could live there with his beloved wife and his son, no, sons. His eyes became glossy with tears. The time seemed slow, the ride seemed longer.
After reaching in front of the house he waited for some time. He didn't know why he was standing in front of the house. After collecting some courage, Mr. Min pressed the doorbell.
"Who's there?" He heard the voice but didn't reply. "Who's there?" She asked again loudly. After waiting for an answer, she finally opened the door. She froze there, hand on the doorknob. The two persons were looking at each other with an unreadable emotion in their eyes. The whole world around them stopped. There was no sound, no movement at all. After don't know how much time passed, Mr. Min finally snapped out. He stepped forward a little. But Mrs. Min was standing still without a movement.
"Can I come in?" That's all he could ask at that moment.
Mrs. Min didn't say anything just opened the door wide so that he could come in. He was standing in the living room looking at his wife at the door.
"Can I have some water, Nina?" He asked again.
"He's calling my name standing in front of me? Is it a dream? Why is my heart hurting so much after so many years? Why has he returned after leaving us like that and made us suffer that much?" There were so many questions inside Mrs. Min's mind. Feelings were overflowing inside her heart. Mr. Min was not at the other side too. He had so much fear, so many 'what ifs' inside him.
"You can sit there." She said pointing to the sofa and going inside the kitchen. Before sitting Mr. Min looked around him. The house was small but cozy and a warm feeling of a family was there.
Inside the kitchen, Mrs. Min let tears fall from her eyes and quickly wiped them away.
"Here's your water." She said bluntly putting the glass on the table.
"Thanks." There was an awkward silence between them.
"Why are you here? What do you want now?" She asked.
He could not meet her eyes. "I'll answer your questions later, Nina. First, tell me how are you?"
"How am I? What do you expect after leaving us and never looking back?" She didn't want to feel weak in front of the man she loved and hated the most. But her heart betrayed her and tears trailed down.
"I know I'm in the wrong. But, Nina, you were at fault too. I tried to convince you so many times, but you didn't listen to me."
"How could I listen to the man who cheated on me, who had a son with another woman?"
He could not hold himself anymore. He raised his voice and said, "I told you before, now I'm telling you again that I didn't cheat on you and I don't have a son with another woman."
"Oh really? Then who was that kid you wanted to bring into our house?" She wanted answers to all her questions.
"Jin is my friend's son. I told you that."
"Jin?"
"Yes, his name is Jin, Seokjin."
"Wait, what?! That kid's name was Seokjin?"
He was dumbfounded by her reaction. "Do you know him?" He asked.
"No... I mean I know someone named Seokjin. He's our... no my son's friend." She thought that the kid who once tore apart her family is definitely not the Jin she knew.
