"Amaya. I thought you were taken." Mira ran to me.

I couldn't help but stand there in shock. Mira, Azar, Glaze, and Ladon were all standing before me. I thought they had died and yet they were right here.

"I thought you guys had died. I was so sad and I was about to continue our journey we had started together on my own for you guys. What happened?" I was so confused.

"Well we are here now." Azar said.

"I don't know why we are here, she is the one who decided getting lost was a good idea." Glaze rolled his eyes. He was still so mad at me. And what did he mean I decided to get lost?

"Glaze, stop it." Azar stuck up for me. Mira nodded.

"So what actually happened?" I asked again.

"Well.." Mira began. "You were looking at the pictures on the wall as the rest of us talked about some things. You, I guess, were more interested in the pictures than of our conversation but.." I quickly interrupted.

"Ok in my defense I learned things you guys didn't, so.." Then Mira continued to tell of what happened.

"Anyway, so as you looked at all the pictures and then we wanted to talk to you about everything too, ya know we need to discuss the next step. But when we turned around to talk to you, you were just gone. And we searched for you for a long long time until we found you a few minutes ago." Mira finished.

"Oh my gosh. So it's my fault I couldn't find you guys. I was stupid and wasn't paying attention. I am sorry guys, I didn't mean to scare you like that." I apologized. I didn't realize it was me that went astray from the group.

"It's ok Amaya. We aren't mad at you for anything." Azar was so kind to me, even when I made mistakes.

"Thanks guys!" I was so happy that everyone but Glaze wasn't mad at me for scaring them and going astray.

"Okay kid, now that we found you we should keep moving. We are lost in the cave, but can't go out the front because of Griffins if they are anywhere close. We need to go deeper into the cave, together. Azar, can you light the stick on fire again?" Ladon asked Azar.

"Sure. Where is it?" I handed Azar the stick. Then he took the stick and he breathed fire on it for our light as we continued to walk deeper into the cave.

I didn't like how this was taking such a long time. I wanted to explore the world, but the Griffins got in our way and now we were lost in the dark cave. Not only were Griffins dangerous, but they ruined everything. They just had to get in the way of me exploring the world. Every step of the way was dark and damp, but still we continued on. No one said anything for a while, but eventually I got tired of the quietness.

"So uh, what are you guys excited to see?" I asked them, trying to start a conversation.

"I am excited to see other land creatures." Mira answered. "I have always wanted to see this really slow animal, but I can't quite remember what it is."

"Do you mean a turtle?" Ladon asked her.

"No it's not that, it's something else. But I still can't remember." Mira continued to think of this slow creature she mentioned.

"Is it a snail?" Ladon asked again.

"No, but I think it does start with an S" Mira replied.

"Oh, I know exactly what it is then." Ladon said.

"What is it, Ladon? I honestly can't remember the name." Mira was getting frustrated since she couldn't remember the animal.

"Is it a sloth, because that's the only other slow creature I know of besides the other things I asked you."

Suddenly Mira's face lit up. "Yes, yes it's a sloth. I have always wanted to see a sloth." Mira was excited she remembered.

"Well anyway, what is everyone else excited about?" I asked.

"I am excited to see the way other creatures live. I mean we live in a Kingdom above the clouds, whereas, other creatures live down on the earth below." Azar answered.

"Yeah. I have wondered the same."I replied.

I wanted to ask the Glaze the question too, but I was pretty sure he was still mad at me. I asked anyway, just to see how he would respond.

"Um, what about you Glaze? What are you most excited about seeing?" I asked him awkwardly. He replied:

"I guess the same thing both Azar and Mira said. I wanna see different animals and see how they live." Glaze didn't sound as angry with me as I thought he would but I knew he still was mad.

"Well that's great." I replied to him.

"Well Ladon since you have already explored the world, what is your favorite thing?" I asked him.

"That is a tough question, kid. The world is such a magnificent place, but people don't realize how amazing it really is. People don't see its true beauty. Humans especially, have taken the earth for granted. They don't realize how important it truly is. Humans are selfish beings and only care about themselves and money. But anyway one of my favorite parts is how in some places there is peace. No wars, no fights, no hatred, only love and peace, but like I said, only in some parts of the world is that really special." What Ladon said really got me thinking about humans again.

"Wow, the world seems like a cruel place. I mean some parts of it at least." Azar replied.

There was a long pause in our conversation. Just a moment of silence. I didn't want the conversation to be over, but everyone else wasn't interested in talking about anything anymore, or at least I thought. I didn't get to answer my own question either. Then all of a sudden Ladon spoke.

"Oh hey kid, what are you most excited about seeing in this world?" Ladon asked me.

"Oh yeah, Amaya you never got to give your answer." Mira agreed.

"Well.." I began. "I just want to see everything. I want to see how other things survive in their living conditions, I want to see other creatures in general, I want to see how the stars look from way down below, I want to see what it's like to eat food on the earth and what food is like here, I want to see humans and all their cultures, I want to see cities and towns and a bunch of man made stuff, I want to see a land of peace like Ladon stated. So to answer my own question that everyone replied to, I am most excited to see everything. It's not just one thing that sparks my interest, it's everything that makes me hunger for the truth, for the answers to my questions, for everything." I realized out of all the people I asked, I had the answer with the most detail and the most excitement. Why was I the only one who felt like this? Why was I the only one excited to see everything?

Everyone seemed pretty shocked with my reply even though it was my idea to leave in the first place. I guess they didn't expect me to say all of that.

All of the sudden we heard a loud noise coming from up ahead and a bright light shown around way above where we were. We were all not sure whether we just continue down that way, but going back the other way would take too much to get to the other side, plus Griffins were on that side. There was only one way we could go; forward.

"This might be a Griffin." Azar said.

We all looked at each other (just my friends and I, Ladon was trying to protect us). They were scared to death (especially Glaze) about what we would find!

Ladon was a brave Dragon. He not only killed a Storm Dragon, but was ready to fight for all 3 of my friends and myself. He hadn't known us for very long, yet still didn't want us hurt.

Ladon walked in front of us that way whatever was ahead could attack him first.

"Stay behind me you 4! We don't know what this creature is or what it's capable of. You guys have to trust me." Ladon said. We all nodded quickly. Then we began to move forward, towards the beast we couldn't quite see...
