Meanwhile, Mira, Glaze, Azar, and the others were off on their adventure.
All of my friends had flown for hours and hours when they finally found a place to land. They rested their wings for a while, but Glaze had something on his mind. Something he was not so sure about. Something he finally had to let everyone know about.
"We-we shouldn't have let Amaya go without us. I put her in danger by letting her go. What a horrible friend I have become." Glaze lowered his head. "What a horrible dragon I am. We should have never left the kingdom"
"Glaze, it's not your fault. Amaya wouldn't blame you. We just have to hope for the best." Mira said calmly. She was and had always been the nice friend of our friend group.
"Guys, I am tired of just hoping for the best. This whole adventure has been all about hope. I am losing hope. After coming to the real world I have learned that the Dragon Kingdom was meant to protect us. Everything out here is and could be a great danger. I don't want to lose anyone else " Azar spoke. Everyone turned to look at him shocked to think he would feel that way.
"Are you serious right now guys?" Ella began. "Amaya wanted nothing more than to travel the world with her friends and you guys are talking about how you should never have come? Some of your most memorable memories have happened on this journey. You met me and my family and that was special for both of us. You had never seen humans before us. And without you coming on this adventure, you would have never known why the world is the way it is between us humans and dragons. Yes, a lot of this journey has been difficult, hard, and well, all but easy, but look what you have accomplished. Look what you have done. You have come this far and now you want to go back? Back home to where nothing gets exciting? If we don't do something, King Attis will take over the world and nothing will be safe, for anyone. We need to find Amaya, and then we need to stop the end of the world."
"Guys she is right. We have come way too far just to go home. Amaya was right to bring us with her. We understand so much of what we missed about the world while living in the kingdom. This adventure is the best thing to have ever happened to me. I say we continue what we started....for Amaya, wherever she may be now because she would do it for any one of us" Mira shouted. "Who is it?" She asked. She looked around for a response.
"I-I will do this for Amaya because she is the light in our darkness. She keeps my hope alive" Azar agreed.
"Aye," Lewis said. "She believed in me when even my own father didn't" A tear rolled down his feathery cheek.
"Who was your father? Sorry, I am just curious why such a father would be that way." Logan asked.
"Nah it's fine. My father is-is King Attis, unfortunately." Lewis spoke. "I have a sister too. My dad favors her though. Her name is Layra."
"KING ATTIS IS YOUR DAD?" Mich looked completely puzzled. "I would never have guessed he had kids."
"Yeah, I don't know either. My sister is younger than me too, maybe that is why I am his least favorite, I really don't know." Lewis replied.
"Guys focusssssss on what we ssssshould do," Juno replied.
"Oh right, sorry." Mich looked kind of embarrassed. His face turned red.
"Should we go back to Amaya and save the world?" Asher asked. "Is that what we have decided?"
"I think we should. Amaya would want us to." Mira said. "Everyone else is in except you Glaze. What do you say?" Everyone turned to look at him.
Glaze sat for a moment, not sure what to say. He wasn't sure if going back, risking their escape was the best idea, but he loved Amaya and couldn't leave her. He also knew that if the Zerklin were let out, the world would end.
"This is a huge risk we would all be taking." He started "But Amaya is my friend and the world is in grave danger, so," He thought a moment longer, "Let's go get our friend and save the world." Everyone was excited. They all rejoiced. They were going to come back for me.
"We should rest here for the night though. We have had a long flight." Kali said. They all agreed and they rested at the island, which they had landed on earlier, to rest for the night so they could leave in the morning.
